I love these shoes for everyday use. They are comfy and can handle more technical terrain when I head to the crag. Hold up well, great rubber. I wouldn’t want to do a long approach in these since they are pretty flat. But all around great shoe. Looks good with anything too!

I used these for a canyoneering trip in southern Utah, and they worked like a charm. Sticky soles kept me grounded whether I was stemming, repelling, or simply hiking along. Guessing they're more than suited for daily approaches to the crag. I usually wear a women's 8 and the men's 7 fit great.

I never had a chance to try Evolv’s Cruzer shoes, but from what I heard you had to replace them almost every year. Not so with the Rebel! In my initial two weeks of punishment these shoes have taken everything from alpine scrambling, hiking and light trail running without skipping a beat. The wider toe box accommodates my E width feet comfortably and the coating of DWR does well to shed dirt and moisture. If you need some stylish shoes to get you wherever you need to go then consider the Rebel.

I order the Vegan Jet in size 8, which is what I normally wear in Vans, and the fit was perfect. I took them on a two months trip home to Hawaii where I used them just about every day for approaches to the Mokuleâia crag, bushwhacking to some jungle boulders, and some general hiking. I even took a gamble and used them on a backpacking trip on Mauna Loa through 40 plus miles of razor sharp lava rock. They held up pretty well for how rough the terrain was and I didnât get a single blister the whole trip. Overall, Iâm very impressed with these shoe will definitely get another pair once IâÂm done with these.

This new Rebel is a much more substantial shoe than the Evolv Cruisers. Fits a wider foot better too. Way more stable in the heel and a wider platform so great for carrying a pack a longer more rugged approach. Plus it just looks cool for wearing around town.
