    Rebel Approach Shoe

Compared to Evolv's other approach shoes, the Men's Rebel Approach Shoe is more durable than the Cruzer and more casual than the Zender. It's ideal for climbers who want to frequent sport crags, climbing gyms, and hangouts in the same shoe. Both the army and night styles are made with leather uppers, and the vegan jet style forgoes leather for synthetic; regardless of the option, the Rebel's upper is ruggedly water-resistant to keep clean on a rainy, muddy day.
    • Burlier approach shoe coupled with a casual style
    • Water-repellent upper crafted out of leather or vegan synthetic
    • Trax Enduro rubber sole extends over toe for extra durability
    • Memory foam footbed with EVA midsole underneath for customized cushioning
    • Item #EVL002A

    Great Casual Cragger

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I love these shoes for everyday use. They are comfy and can handle more technical terrain when I head to the crag. Hold up well, great rubber. I wouldn’t want to do a long approach in these since they are pretty flat. But all around great shoe. Looks good with anything too!

I used these for a canyoneering trip in southern Utah, and they worked like a charm. Sticky soles kept me grounded whether I was stemming, repelling, or simply hiking along. Guessing they're more than suited for daily approaches to the crag. I usually wear a women's 8 and the men's 7 fit great.

I never had a chance to try Evolv’s Cruzer shoes, but from what I heard you had to replace them almost every year. Not so with the Rebel! In my initial two weeks of punishment these shoes have taken everything from alpine scrambling, hiking and light trail running without skipping a beat. The wider toe box accommodates my E width feet comfortably and the coating of DWR does well to shed dirt and moisture. If you need some stylish shoes to get you wherever you need to go then consider the Rebel.

I order the Vegan Jet in size 8, which is what I normally wear in Vans, and the fit was perfect. I took them on a two months trip home to Hawaii where I used them just about every day for approaches to the Mokule’ia crag, bushwhacking to some jungle boulders, and some general hiking. I even took a gamble and used them on a backpacking trip on Mauna Loa through 40 plus miles of razor sharp lava rock. They held up pretty well for how rough the terrain was and I didn’t get a single blister the whole trip. Overall, I’m very impressed with these shoe will definitely get another pair once I’™m done with these.

    New and cool

    Familiarity:I've used it several times
    Fit:True to size

This new Rebel is a much more substantial shoe than the Evolv Cruisers. Fits a wider foot better too. Way more stable in the heel and a wider platform so great for carrying a pack a longer more rugged approach. Plus it just looks cool for wearing around town. Vegan option for those who don't wear leather. Climbing Mag just gave it their editors choice. /Users/stevensrednick/Desktop/RebelClimbingEditorsChoice.pdf
