Shoes that go well with ropes.

The Evolv Women's Nikita Climbing Shoe is likely to be a favorite among rope climbers of all sorts, from plastic pullers to multi-pitch lovers. Evolv's new Enhanced Arch Support provides comfort and power that powerful climbs and long multi-pitches demand, without the discomfort common to most aggressive, downturned shoes. The full-length midsole works with the VTR 3D rand to give medium stiffness and and edgy performance, which compliments routes from slabby to slightly overhung. Expect some stretch out of the leather upper, breathable comfort from the 3D air mesh tongue, and killer stickiness from the Trax high friction rubber.

    Size up

Bought these for my girlfriend so she would have some good trad shoes. She usually wears a 5.5 but bought the 6.5 in these shoes. They fit well, but only after sizing up!

      Nice & Snug

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: 9

I wear size 7 normal shoes, 7.5 lasportiva. I returned a size 8 pair of evolv and had to get 9s for that perfect fit. I'm an intermediate climber. The 8s had my toes curling back, a feeling that experts would go for. Love the colour and padding!

      Good shoes!

      • Size Bought: 7.5 US

I've tried these shoes a handful of times now, mostly bouldering outdoors. Their rubber sole provides great traction, even on relatively smooth rockfaces. My only complaint is that they run a bit small. I usually wear between a 7-8 US, so I got pair of size 7.5 US. My toes are a bit cramped. Hoping that they'll stretch a little more with use. Overall, a great shoe!

      Great for narrow feet!!!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: 8.5

I have very narrow feet with high arches and this shoe is perfect for that. These shoes fit my feet like a glove with no dead space. They seem to be very durable/well made shoes. I've been climbing in them for about 2 months now, and they have stretched a little, but not too much. I bought them for bouldering and sport climbing (face climbing), but discovered that they are great for crack climbing as well, which was a very pleasant surprise. The only issue is that they run small. I wear a size 8 in the evolve Rockstars and Five Ten Sirens (Electras are so wide I have to go down to a 7.5), so I ordered an 8 in these. Had to return them for an 8.5. These were still tighter than my size 8 Rockstars, but they did stretch a little and now they fit like a glove.
