There are some complicated ways to load up a bunch of bikes on your truck, or there's the laid back simplicity of the Evoc Tailgate Pad. This PU-coated tarpaulin pad attaches easily to your tailgate with simple straps, secures up to six bikes with hook-and-loop closures, and has padded spacers to stop your tailgate and your frames from getting dinged in transit. It is built with a 1-inch thick layer of EVA foam underneath the tarpaulin, helping protect both of your rides from unexpected knocks from potholes or speed bumps. Evoc also thoughtfully included a quick-access tailgate handle cutout, so you can open and close the tailgate without having to remove the pad. Note that the medium/large size fits mid-sized pickups best, while the extra-large size works with most full-sized pickups.

- I've put it through the wringer
- True to size
Great pad-works well and is easy to install. I really like the aluminum clips as opposed to plastic and the soft underside. Only reason it didn’t get a 5 star is because the tailgate opening doesn’t line up with the handle/backup camera. Not a huge issue but since they went through the trouble of making the opening........2020 Tacoma

Great Pad but doesn't fit camera
I like most everything about this pad but the opening for my tailgate handle and camera doesn't go low enough for my camera. I don't see any reason why it couldn't have been a larger opening to accommodate one of the most popular trucks sold in America, 2018, Chevrolet Silverado.

Everything you need, nothing you don't
- I've used it several times
First off, this fits perfect in my 2018 Tacoma. Having previouslty had an older RaceFace pad, this fixed every issue I had with that one. I love the quick release steel buckles to make taking it on and off a breeze. Also there's tons of extra loops to strap literally whatever you want onto this. The velcro straps are a little small for some thinker downtubes, but they are nice and wide straps. The whole pad has an incredible build quality that makes me just feel good in comparison to my older RaceFace one.

what issues with Race face and what size is your M/L?

I like it. but it has some (minor) flaws
- I've used it several times
Did EVOC measure any full size trucks before they made this? I have an F-150 and the pad is too wide by about an inch. This causes the pad to puckers a bit. But, the function of the pad is very nice. The blocs and straps secure the bikes nicely. The tailgate flap is large and tucks completely out of the way so you can use your camera. The material is sturdy and is holding up well. This pad has less padding than others, but is more strategic about where it is used. I was looking at the RaceFace pad and it had much more padding everywhere. The upside of less padding is that the pad can be folded and stored much more easily. The Race Face could not be folded. the EVOC can go under the back seats in my truck.

I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 this pad is too wide on top and tapers at bottom doesnât not fit flush. Itâs a shame cause it is a super awesome pad. I have a Dakine that is good but doesnât cover the whole tailgate. Wish it would of fit. ð¥

Is this for use with mtb only? Or will work with road bike?

Hi, technically you could use a road bike with this. However, it isn't necessary recommended. This set up is for bikes that have more sturdy frames and can take more of a "beating". Your road bike frame may be too thin for the velcro straps which could cause quite a bit of movement. You'd be better off with something that locks down the bike.
