I broke a pole when I setting it up at home to clean the tent out after a camping trip. I contacted Eureka and they sent me a new pole for free no questions asked. The braking of the pole was my own fault and not a result of using the product as intended. However I wish the poles were a little more sturdy.

For the car camper

Perfect for the car camper. I was able to fit 4 cots in it comfortably.

Perfect for couples that need space.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This tent is massive with a high ceiling. Someone 6'6 can stand in this tent freely. Plenty of space to fit two cots and a ton of gear. I really like this tent for rainy weather since it allows you to stay inside and not have to keep running out to get gear if needed. This is NOT a practical tent for overlanding. Setup and teardown for daily travel takes too long. This is a set it and forget it tent. Two able-bodied persons will take 10 to 15 min to setup. As with any tent, the more hands you have to setup the faster it will go.

Upgraded from a 4 person tent to this 6 person Eureka Copper Canyon tent after having a baby because we wanted to take her camping with us. This tent is very roomy. We were unfortunate to have very heavy rain, but we were kept completely dry. My husband is 6'6 tall and he is able to stand up in it. This tent is easy to set up and take down. I highly recommend purchasing the foot print that fits it as well.

Great endurance!!

I purchased a 12x12 Copper Canyon 8 years ago and camp in it an average of 2 times a month plus camping at IMSA race venues. This tent has always remained dry during some serious rain storms and has remained structurally sound. I still own a 4 person Timberline tent that I purchased in 1988 and it still provides great sheltering and retains it's waterproof qualities. Excellent products!

Copper Canyon LX 6 is great!

I love the Copper Canyon LX 6. My opinion: the size, ease of setup, features, quality of materials and construction make this a great value. The combination of sleeved poles for the roof and clipped poles for the corners of the walls works well. I am fan of and prefer clips, but in this application the sleeves for the roof makes one person setup without a step stool possible. The light gray fabric for the upper portions of the walls provides both a pleasing and plentiful ambient light in the daytime, which I like. I like the clip secured windows. They have good overlap with the solid fabric walls and a bottom edge that is sewn to channel and drain rainwater. There are many interior rings for hang items, and includes four at corners of the floor for securing a liner/mat/carpet. I found that the rainfly to pole velcro tabs is a huge help for getting it placed over the top of the tent. Rather than trying to throw it over the top, which I have hard time doing, I focus on getting one corner vecrod in place and then work my way around the tent securing subsequent corners the same way. The fly slides nicely over the top making installation quick and absent the struggle that typically comes with battling gusts of wind.

LX6 Copper Canyon Dream

After 48 hours of straight downpour the tent was bone dry. What a testament of function and quality. Its definitely a late spring, summer, early fall temperature construction. We use two large cots and there’s so much additional room. Gear lofts are fine in the ceiling but additional lofts can be purchased and strung on the sides if wanted (which is what we did). The door definitely requires a two-handed operation it’s so tightly configured. You must relieve the stress on the zipper. Beware, a one handed brute force approach is going to damage the zipper. Takes some patience but then again tent people have more of that virtue than the glamping crowd to begin with! The ventilation that is capable with this tent is extraordinary. No more blazing hot tent in the summer. The integrated guy tie-outs at the corners of the fly is simply brilliant and extremely strong. Have not had the luxury of a genuine wind storm to test this but i’ll conjecture this tent will be unaffected by gale forces. The ‘bottom’ roof pole MUST be inserted first; then the top roof pole and install its legs first. That’s all the procedure requires to eliminate problems. What a great tent for a small family but beware the cautionary note with the zipper. Small children are not patient with most everything.

Amazing tent

So after having an Eddie Baur tent for 20 years we needed a new one. My husband came across this tent. And let me tell you it didn't disappoint. So easy to set up. The windows are huge! Watched a meteor show while laying in bed!! Loved how my husband who is 6.3 could stand up and still have room to move around. We are planning on buying the 4 person one for our daughter.

Great except for windows

Bought this last summer. The headroom is nice and it has great ventilation for hot weather. The multiple windows also reduce wind pressure. But we get cold nights even in summer and it seemed to airy for that. We were fine at 3000' but It would be too cold higher up so we bought a different tent with zippered windows. Both tents have the setup with roof piles that get raised up on side poles. Seems like the logical thing for a tall tent but not that easy to assemble even with two people. Once it's up it's fine.

Setting up in the rain

I’m very disappointed in the new design of the fly. Nothing to keep the rain out as setting up. Great for beautiful weather and great airflow not so great with bad weather. The poles are very thin and I was afraid it was going to snap with the weight of the rain.
