    Super Trooper

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Pros: It is bigger than a twin size mattress. Lots of room to move around. We bought this to use as a guest bed in our apartment and had many guests not have to sleep on the floor. Once you figure out the set up process, it's pretty easy to put together. Its really high off the ground, perfect to store all your luggage under. Very strong and durable.

Cons: Heavy. The cot fabric sags after it's been slept on. You have to have lots of space to set it up.

All in all: I'd recommend it!

    Solid Cot by Eureka!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I just recently purchased this cot for car camping. I love it! Its build solid. I'm 6'0" tall and about 200lbs and its supports me and my bed roll. I matched it with my Therma-lite "dreamtime" sleeping pad and i still have about 3 or so inches to spear all around. Its like taking your twin size mattress with you but only camping size. If you like to sprawl out and move around while you sleep then i strongly suggest it. I'm happy with it!

    I gota second-hand cot!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Backcounrty.com sent me a box that looked like it had been through a war zone. So I knew the cot was damaged before even opening it. There were several dings on the cot's metal structure. There was no paperwork and tape all over the box, so I know this package had been returned. I'm ultra-disappointed at backcountry.com. I waited a long time for its arrival and to get a second hand damaged cot is extremely disappointing.

On to the cot. My initial impression is that it's not well made. For the extra money you spend the value isn't worth it. I don't know I didn't get any paperwork with the cot so I cannot say too much. If I was doing it again, I would buy one of the regular cots. I doubt this cot's structural durability.

Altogether a real bummer. Backcountry.com is better than this.

    comfortable but a little heavy.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

this is a very comfortable cot. Obviously don't expect it to be like a bed. It is a little heavy to haul around, but I know no one would take this on a hiking trip.

I use it regularly when guests stay at my house for a night.

    all the comforts of home!

We put two of these side by side & blow up a double size air mattress to put it on top when boat camping at Lake Powell & cover with sheets. I try to pick the nights that the meteor showers will be in full swing & we sleep out under the beauty of long "burners" & falling stars. Some of my fondest memories. I love waking up & having had a great night's sleep & not needing to worry about the mice, tarantulas, scorpions or any critters getting in my bedding.

      Comfort and Luxury in Simplicity

I bought this cot two years ago for a three week outdoor festival on the east coast. I had plenty of room to roll and get comfy. The design is sturdy yet lite weight for its size. And the biggest benefit was that even in east coast summer humidity the material breathed and allowed moisture through. One complaint is the tabs where the cross bars slip on seemed as though they were fragile. Although it's been two years and no problems.

I can really sleep on this thing!

I love this cot.. It's a bit heavy.. And a tad larger than I'm used to - but man is it nice! I'm 5'9" and I can almost sprawl out on this thing. It's built sturdy and is high off the ground. We had 4 people on it while hanging out during some rain. It's that big.. :)

          Crazy Awesome

It took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to set it up, and then after that it was a super piece of cake. This is a very large roomy cot. I bought one just to see how nice it was, and it's one of the nicest sturdiest cot's I've seen. I'm going to buy another one for myself, this one was for my wife. We had a air mattress for camping before this and we just had too many problems with it.
