Assault Outfitter 4 Tent

Weekend warriors and other folks who like to camp every now and then can have those lighter, flimsier tents for seasons and seasons, but if you're working or living outdoors then you need something more durable like the Eureka Assault Outfitter 4 Tent. Favored by outfitters and youth corps who spend months in the field, the Assault Outfitter is made with incredibly durable fabrics that should last a long time. Eureka even treated the fly with UN inhibitors just in case you leave it on all summer long. When it gets colder, you can adjust the high-low vent to let in less air and keep you warmer.
  • Durable, hard-wearing tent designed for camping consistently
  • UV-inhibited rain fly and mesh walls ensure 3-season comforts
  • Alloy poles slide through sleeves for a simple and sturdy setup
  • Two doors with two vestibules for convenient gear storage
  • High/low vent is completely adjustable to accommodate all sorts of weather

The Assault is a seriously good tent. Our youth group ran them exclusively for many years. When we switched it was to another Eureka model with more headroom. I kept our best one along with some spare parts and it's still my go to for one man car camping. You don't have to worry about storms and wind with the Assault, make sure the fly is hooked to the pole structure (four tabs), peg down where each pole meet the ground (that's six spots), and peg the fly (another three spots) and you should be good to go. If things really look gnarly you could add the four optional guy lines (I've never had to go this far). Size wise the Assault is a little short on headroom. I use a four person as a single, but that is in order to fit the extra jumbo comfy cot & low profile camp chair inside. My version is prior to the fly that can be rigged as a porch, otherwise I'd put the chair outside.
