    Cool that lasts.

Engel's tough, insulated Eng35 Cooler keeps your food and drinks iced for up to ten days on paddling, fishing, and camping trips. Its roto-molded SingleForm HardShell construction is ideal for traveling rugged terrain and rough water, and it meets IBSC's certification to keep bears out when camped in bear country. Two-inch insulation works with the airtight ArcticVault Gasket to retain ice for around ten days.

The Eng35 Cooler also features a grippy TruHold Lid that doubles as a casting deck while fly fishing, and the Unity Latch System uses stainless steel materials for a secure closure. The DuoLock Security Holes add extra locking security when wild animals are nearby. The Anvil Hinge keeps the TruHold Lid upright when opened, and tie-down Points secure this cooler to boats, ATVs, and more. At the bottom, Engel finished this cooler with a one-twist Flick Drain Plug and grippy, non-marking Cornerstone Feet.

Compared it to a Yeti and it won

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was sick and tired of having to replace ice on a daily basis over long weekend camping trips and having to plan ahead and "make sure" it would be available where I was going. All I heard was the word "Yeti" but for that much beer money I wanted to make sure I was getting max bang for the buck. I saw a You Tube video where this cooler and about 5 others were compared for ice retention over 48 hours in Florida in the summer and the Engel won hands down. In terms of Human Factors Engineering this cooler has solid superior handles and the latches are more solid and durable than those on the Yeti too. Both are heavy but that seems like a small price to pay. I'm not packing it in and packing it out. Highly reccomended.

    Always cool

The Engel Eng35 is the perfect cooler for those long weekends. It holds ice amazing well and has a true 35 quart capacity. The latches and hinges are built to take a beating and the non-slip lid makes a good stepping stool for those hard to reach places. You can spend more on a cooler, but I think Engel gives you a lot of product for the price.
