A cage for the races

Elite’s design for the Cannibal Water Bottle Cage is ideal for race situations, when quick and easy bottle access is critical. The side-entry cage allows the bottle to be inserted from the sides as well as the front, so you can stay focused on what’s ahead. The Cannibal is built with reinforced fiberglass that is durable and lightweight, with the cage weighing less than 40 grams.

    New bike. new cages

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Building a new bike and these cages do the trick without costing a small fortune. I've put these on all my bikes and my boys bikes. We have never had any issues with bottles taking flight, and besides they look good!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The color combos for this cage are nice for matching up with your bike's color scheme. The soft part at the top of the cage is nice for keeping my hydroflask from getting scratched when I throw that in it

    Terrific cage

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have arundel cages I paid like $65 each for. These are better! So easy to get bottles in and out of. Colors great too. Not sure about durability yet but at this price who cares.

    Awesome

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Riding a Yeti, I've always ignored the bottle cage mounts on the underside of the downtube, thinking that no cage could grip a bottle enough. Thankfully, the Elite Cannibal has had no issues with this. Whether the bottle is small or large, it hasn't budged yet.

    Great Cage

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

For the money I do not think there is a better cage. Works well on MTB frames with small triangles due to its ability for side entry. Provides adequate grip and will not launch bottles.

    Easy in, no worries

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This cage makes it very easy to get your bottle into the cage without having to take your eyes off the road. There is plenty of grip to hold the bottle secure and I have not had any bottle ejections. I picked up three of these and use them on my mountain bikes, to carry bottle with drink mixture while using a hydration pack. The colors look great, and will compliment any number of bike color combinations.

    Good (not great) product

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Looks good and holds bottles really well, too well. The first couple of times using it, it's a struggle to get the bottle out. I guess you end up getting used to the amount of force that's needed to extract the bottle. A bit on the heavier side. The ability to load and unload from the side is a plus.

    It Fits!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have been going through the ringer trying to find a cage to fit my 2016 Santa Cruz Bronson, because I really don't like riding with a pack. This cage finally fits perfectly. Its tight around the bottle, so I know my bottles won't get thrown, and allows for angled removal and replacement of the bottle, without stressing the plastic on some other cages. Works like a charm!

    Match.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Any old cage will hold a bottle, but will it match your frame, tires, tape, saddle, jersey, shorts, socks, shoes, sunglasses, gloves, helmet, birthstone, and tattoos? This one (probably) will, and matching is the most important part of riding a bike.

Difficult to get bottle in and out!

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Maybe the other styles are better, but the soft touch version sucks. I tried putting a standard Camelback bottle in one before installing the cages on my bike. It took a lot of effort to get the bottle in and out. Figured if I tried yanking a bottle out on the road, would wind up in a ditch. Packed them up and sent them back pronto.

FWIW, I thought this was the case too at first, however, the tight grip loosens up significantly the more you use it. The cage itself will eventually wear out, but these are in fact my favorite cages and have them on all my bikes.

    Strong and Forgiving.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Elite made this cage for mountain bikes, and I am using it for that purpose. On full-suspension frames that often don't have tons of room for a bottle, this cage holds firmly over the roughest terrain without making it to hard to get the bottle in and out. As others have noted the bottle slots into the cage nice and straight even it is shoved in haphazardly. The range of available colors is a nice bonus, and if matched well adds a bit of flair to the bike.

    Does the Job

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a nice cage that works as advertised. The design allows you to shove your bottle in at odd angles so you don't spend so much time getting the right position to get the bottle into the cage.

The bottles that I own that work well with this cage include the Specialized Purist, Camebak Podium, and a EuroBottle (unknown model). The only bottle that had problems was my Polar Bottle. It was very difficult to insert and remove compared to other bottles. I'm not sure if this is because of the brand, or because its an insulated bottle.

Down below is a video by Elite demonstrating the bottle cage.

    Works great

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've got these cages on both my mountain bike and road bike and I'm really happy with them. I use them with CamelBak Podium Chill bottles (21 oz) and they fit in these cages just fine. The cage can expand a bit and the colored tab at the top of the cage is made out of relatively tacky rubber so it grips onto plastic bottles really nicely, even on my mountain bike. The design also lets you shove a bottle in from odd angles which is really nice for the confined space in my mountain bike's frame.

These are light enough, cheap enough, and come in a nice variety of colors so you can match to your frame (or not). Not much more I could ask for
