    Eider Jacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

I love the jacket! It’s sturdy but lightweight, and very warm. My first use was for an AIARE I course, and it didn’t let me down. The hood fits over my helmet, and the ergonomic top zipper gives great facial protection that fits my face. I also love the vivid blue color

    Super cute and amazing shell!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 6
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 130lbs

This jacket has completely exceeded my expectations - I was not familiar with Eider at all but they make a bombproof shell! The fabric is pretty thick which is awesome in a ski jacket - much warmer than a thin rain shell and I'm sure would stand up to any storm!

I wore it on a sunny day in Snowbasin, UT and the underarm venting kept me from getting too hot. The wrists have nice gaiters with thumb loops that are super soft and keep the wind off of your wrists.

I am generally a small, but sometimes need to size up in jackets due to having broad shoulders. The 6 is perfect! It's a comfortable fit with plenty of room for layering under, while still looking nice and slim! The length is also a great just past hip length.

Another favorite feature is the collar - it zips nice and high to keep your face warm and protected from the wind! It was great on the chairlifts. I could imagine touring in this shell as well, though as I mentioned it is a thick material so it's more geared toward resort use.

If you have any questions about this jacket or comparing with others, don't hesitate to reach out to me directly with my info listed above!

    Strong Beautiful Technical Shell

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 4
    • Height: 5'2"
    • Weight: 108lbs

I’ve never owned a jacket like this before. I’m not kidding, the fabric is a bit thicker but it moves nicely and feels very structured. I’ve been wearing baggy, longer stuff since I was younger but as I get older I want a bit more functioning outerwear to help me move, keep me protected and not overheat.

This jacket is for protection from the elements so I can’t tell you how warm it will be since that will be up to you and what you wear under it. I’m currently 5’2 and 108 pounds, small chest, narrow hips I’m wearing a size 36 (US size 4). It fits me perfectly however if you have something larger than a C cup you should size up to a 38 (US size 6).

It is hard to find a technical 3-layer shell that fits petite women this well. It makes my waist look smaller and as a result of that when you look at me from the side my lower back looks smaller and I love that. Typically jackets bulk up right above my butt or above my hips. The coloring of the jacket also helps break up my body just enough!

I also wear this as my main casual jacket now, it is hard to say how safe this jacket makes me feel. While I haven’t had the chance to take this thing out full send on the resort slopes I think it will keep me really safe when I fall or go bushwhacking.

The zipper is a cool feature on top of everything and gives you tons of face room to keep your nose down safe from wind or other elements! The hood is a bit small to bring over a helmet!

Fit: Size up if you are large chested or would like extra room to layer. This is an athletic fitting jacket you can wear touring or at the resort. Strong Beautiful Technical Shell

    Bombproof Shell with Feminine Flare

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Small (6)
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 128lbs

I love the Eider Shaper shell! I wanted a shell for spring skiing, but one that still had some style and a feminine shape. This shell is a rich color, matches back great to pink pants, and I love the ripstop in shoulders and down back.

The ergonomic zipper is cool as it has the shape of your chin built into zipper itself (It is curved). Seems funny but is actually really comfortable as it gives more room around the face so you don't end up with a zipper traffic jam from your fleece, insulator, etc. Really great feature when you tuck your face in on windy lift rides or hikes up the ridge!
