Oxygen II SuperEverDry Unicore Climbing Rope

The Edelweiss Oxygen II SuperEverDry Unicore Half Rope is a lightweight, long-lasting choice for ice climbers and mountaineers. A SuperEverDry treatment helps the Oxygen stay light and supple in freezing temperatures, and it absorbs much less water than most treated rope because Edelweiss coats the sheath and the core instead of just the sheath. Unicore construction bonds the sheath to the core for durable longevity.

Great Ropes for Alpine Climbing

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I first ordered a pair of these half ropes before a trip to Chamonix and have been extremely happy with their performance. After climbing many multi-pitch rock routes in the Alps, numerous days of cragging on Cannon in the North East, and a trip to Patagonia where we got a rope stuck and had to jug up on one end (read sawing the ropes up and down over sharp granite) they still both look practically brand new. Furthermore the dry treatment has stood the test of time (in my experience) and even after longs days out ice climbing these ropes are always dry and handle remarkably well. Definitely would recommend these to anyone looking for durable half ropes... and I will be buying another set once I inevitably have to retire the pair I have now. Makes a great pair!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I have a pair of these half ropes and I'm super stoked on them. They have about 2 years, over 200 pitches on them and they are still in great shape. The unicore sheath construction handles great, isn't super prone to tangling (for doubles at least), and they still repel water like crazy after a good amount of use. I would highly recommend these half ropes especially for long and demanding mountaineering routes.
