Slot canyon.

The Canyon EverDry 9.1mm Rope sits on the smaller side of Edelweiss's canyoneering collection of low-stretch static ropes. Unlike most static ropes, this one has a low stretch to absorb shocks. Its 9.1mm diameter best serves those looking for less friction on rappels, less packing space, and a lighter haul to the slot. Edelweiss treated this rope with it EverDry finish to resist abrasion and moisture for long-lasting durability.

  • Low-stretch canyoneering rope packs light and compact for long hikes
  • 9.1mm diameter gives less friction during rappels
  • EverDry treatment adds water- and abrasion-resistance to sheath

Canyoneering and Hauling

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've used this rope for canyoneering and hauling on big walls. I've never had any issues with fraying or coreshots. This diameter is perfect for those who want to save on weight on the hike while not burning their hands like an 8 mm.

Edelweiss Ropes suck

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Both my friend and I bought this rope for canyoneering. His got a core shot on the first rappel (not even a sharp edge). Mine lasted a bit longer and made it about 3 raps in. Edelweiss needs to do something about their sheath. I've also talked to several other people that have had the same issue. When I reached out to Edelweiss about the issue they couldn't even be bothered to give me a response. I'd recommend a sterling, canyoneeringusa, or any other canyoneering rope over this one. The one thing they did get right though is the color, it looks amazing in pics.

Great Canyoneering Rope

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This rope has performed well for me in wet and dry canyoneering conditions. The dry treatment is and indispensable feature and works well. If you need a good shorter canyoneering rope this is a great option. At 9.1mm it isn't too heavy during long days.
