Boa Pro Dry Climbing Rope

Edelrid's Boa Pro Dry Climbing Rope doesn't need a flashy pattern—or multiple patterns for that matter—to sell you on its incredible performance whether you're climbing sport or trad. This versatile climbing rope boasts a high number of falls and low elongation so you don't stretch past the crux you just climbed and then fell on. Pro Dry treats both the sheath and core with water-resistance for UIAA-approved absorbency reduction and dirt-resistance. The Boa also features Edelrid's Thermo Shield for improved handling right out of the bag.

Good Stuff

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This rope has been holding up very well for the amount of use it's seen. I've used it 2-4 times per week outside in Minnesota and South Dakota with granite, quartzite, sandstone, basalt, dolomite, rhyolite, and anorthosite. Seems like it'd be fine for ice climbing, too, but I haven't used it for that purpose yet. It's surprising how well it stays clean; I suspect the dry treatment helps it repel dirt. Feeds through a Grigri just fine and works well in tube-style belay devices.
