    Celebrating 150 years.

Edelrid commemorates its ensuring success with the strong Anniversary Dry Climbing Rope and Caddy Lite Rope Bag. Designed for all your sport climbing endeavors, this rope features a low impact force and high number of falls so you can send, fall, whip, and play on single pitches for multiple seasons. Its 9.7mm diameter makes this rope excellent for intermediate climbers who want to start sending harder projects with a skinnier rope. Edelrid finished it with Pro Dry to resist dirt and water, and Pro Shield protects the rope from abrasion, sharp ledges, and rubbing. Its Thermo Shield treatment keeps the core compact and supple for excellent handling, and the Duotec design provides a bi-pattern so you can find the center of the rope without a problem.

The Caddy Lite Rope Bag features an innovative, flexible cylinder in the center of the tarp to keep your rope compact and knot-free. Four tie-in points help you manage your rope, unpack it, pack it, and get to and from the crags without a problem. The padded shoulder strap keeps you comfortably psyched for some sending during the approach.

    Great rope

After breaking this rope in, it proved to be a fantastic specimen. I've climbed hundreds of pitches on it by now and it has done its job wonderfully. The bi-pattern is really nice and it hardly ever gets tangled anymore.

      Rope + Bag

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The rope is awesome, although it says bi-patterned its very faint and hard to tell where the middle is. IT does glide smooth when climbing / belaying / rappelling. The rope bag is quality - it has a middle main hull area with the rope-tarp splaying out around the center so it funnels the rope into the sack quickly and easily. Then it synches down with a draw cord and buckle to get smaller.

      Decent

Decent rope, I got it as 70m for a really good price. The rope bag is great and helps keep it clean. It's pretty thin compared to other work horse ropes I've used. It's pretty durable, I've owned mine a little under a year, probably about 40ish times.
The clear downside to this rope is that it gets dirty REALLY quick. I have always used the rope bag and it gets so much dirtier than my friend ropes who have never used tarps or rope bags. It always turns my hand black and gets them really dirty. My other complaint is that the "dual tech" is not very obvious like most dual color ropes and it is actually fairly hard to tell the difference between the two ends.
Other than that, good, thin, somewhat lightweight, rope. Also good rope bag.

        Simply a great rope

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this rope and learned lead on it, taking some nasty falls in the process. Likewise, I've used it with friends who are vastly more experienced and everyone seems to really enjoy working with it. So far it's held up well and really hasn't kinked on me yet. Likewise, the rope caddy/tarp is pretty sweet and when you're done using the rope, just grab the four corners of the tarp, pull up and you're rope is nicely packed in it's central pouch.
