Way to go , Echo!

I've used it several times

I have a golf size gaggle/ arsenal of fly rods. Some are too expensive to leave on a truck seat (NRX, Zenith). So i say OK, here is a Boost 5 weight , 9 footer, affordable, echo durable and for the one hour at the fishing hole, not have to worry about it being jacked, kind of pole. I tried it on the Merced River/ Yosemite Portal last weekend with a weight forward Rio line and saw the magic in me.Totally impressed with the juice and the top, tip flex they talk about. Mostly Caddis and hopper fishing but that rod can push the bugs out there nicely. The cork grip takes a bit to get used to and it has some heft to it but not out of the ordinary. Online reviews by folks in "shoot outs" missed the boat. I liked it and the price point for those impromptu outings makes me feel about having a rod that i can relax about.
