Direct Mount Chainring
Boost your one-by setup to the next level with an Easton Direct Mount Chainring. Designed to pair with Easton's lightweight and stiffly efficient EC90 SL crank arms, this chainring is available in a wide range of gear options to meet your one-by road, gravel, and cyclocross needs. Made from lightweight and durable alloy, this chainring utilizes Race Face's Cinch technology for impeccable function and lightning fast ring swaps so you can easily adjust your gearing for the ride at hand.
By now, we're used to seeing wide-narrow profiling on one-by teeth, but Easton tweaks that design with direction-specific shaping that lends a bit of a shark-tooth look to the ring's teeth and comes with claims of even better chain retention. At the base of each tooth, Easton has removed unnecessary material for an added dose of mud-shedding prowess without impacting stiffness.

+1 for Direct Mount.
- I've put it through the wringer
Does a great job of keeping the chain on the ring. Chainline seems good for 1x setups (quiet and only one chain drop that I can remember). Super easy to swap out for gearing choices. Seems to be wearing well.

Will these work with Race Face Next SL cranks?
June 14, 2017
The spline is the same, so this will mount to the crank, however the offset of the chainring, and the chainline is not the same. These are designed around a 47mm chainline and the normal Race Face Chainring is 49mm. Most MTB frames are not compatible with chainrings larger than 36t, sometimes 38t can work.
