The BB86 version is garbage

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Obviously a 30mm crank is quite a challenge for a BB86 bottom bracket, so the caveat here is that it is a given that this represents a technical challenge. Nonetheless, if they make a product it should work. The good thing about this BB is that it goes well with this crank. Other BB86 30mm bottom brackets will need a 2.5mm spacer on either side for the Easton crankset but this one does not. So that’s good. What’s not good is that about 5 rides in it started to creak, and boy does it creak. About 10 rides in it started to feel palpably rough; kind of the opposite of what you want out of a bottom bracket. I have a replacement from Kogel ready to go in now, I just have to get the time to really focus on the unpleasantness of dealing with a pressfit bottom bracket. C’mon bike industry, dump pressfit.
