    TLT7 Expedition CR

You prefer to earn your turns, but that doesn't mean you don't deserve gear with an ultralight touring design. That's why Dynafit made the Men's TLT7 Expedition CR boots. Constructed with a carbon-infused Lambda frame and Grilamid shell, these boots provide exceptional lateral and forward rigidity for improved strength and power transmission on the descent while enhancing walkability and ease of entry.

Constructed with a Speed Nose, the TLT7 Expedition boots feature a short, smooth toebox with a more rearward toe fitting placement for optimum touring efficiency and minimum snow resistance, so you can save your energy for the descent. The Ultralock 3.0 upper buckle is connected via a cable to the adjustable lower, which means that closing the upper buckle tightens both the upper and lower of the boot in one motion. This system also makes it easy to transition between fit, walk, and ski modes. The Master Step Tech Fittings enable easier entry, while the thermo-moldable liner provides durability and comfort.

    The end of compromise

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have over 40 big days on this boot and most things are still in great working condition. This boot is extremely light. Combine that with its incredibly smooth flex pattern this an ideal boot for bigger ski mountaineering objectives that will keep you feeling strong and confident on the most puckering of lines. The unique toe system makes clicking in and out of any pin binding a breeze. You will have to buy a Dynafit crampon adapter in order to use your current crampons. The adapter is 30 dollars, light weight and does not hinder taking them on and off.

The only drawback was the liner. When I first used the boot it was a tight fit, to the point of constricting circulation. After 40 days and a couple of molds to fix any issues I have too much room around my entire foot leaving me feeling less confident than when they were new. So there is the issue of buying a custom liner to avoid this issue.

    Great Boots

If you favor the uphill and want a lightweight boot, get this. I love this boot for long missions in the backcountry on my lightweight set up. The flex on these boots allows you to have solid downhill performance but where this boot really shines is for the uphill.

      Light and comfortable

These boots are awesome. I was a fan of Dynafit boots before and these have lived up to my expectations. Very comfortable and light. Easy to use and stiff. Only complaint is the rubber outsole isn't as durable as I would like. It is a Pomoco rubber outsole and it got a bit shredded after hiking a rocky section of a ridge.

        Perfect Boot

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

After going thru backcountry boots and fittings much to the dismay of my bank account, I finally found the perfect boot! Realizing everyones foot is different, this boot is light and COMFORTABLE on the way up - like hiking in my favorite pair of sneakers. And on the way down, stiff and able to drive wide skis. The buckle system is EASY and intuitive, holds your foot but allows range of motion on the way up and secures you for the goods on the way down. Very confidence inspiring. Easy to get in and out of as well. Money well spent and my hunt for the perfect boot is now over. I will be using this on the resort as well, find them more comfortable than my regular downhill boot. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!!!!!!

Wow so excited to see your review! I have been wanting to do back country but predominantly do downhill expert level and have been using outdated but fit like a slipper Salomon rear entry boots!
I have a long narrow foot . Do you think this might be a good choice ?

        Power Straps!
Do these come with a power strap or not? The photos are confusing.
