ST Rotation 7 Binding

The ST Rotation 7 Binding is the previous season's radical Dynafit alpine touring binding with a pivoting toe and DIN-rated release values. The lower DIN makes it ideal for aggressive backcountry skiing. A little over a pound per piece, the ST Rotation's lightness complements skiers who want a light skin up as well as an aggressive ride down. Its pivot toe not only combats pre-releasing after sudden impacts, it also assists stepping in on steep terrain.

The ST Rotation is compatible with Dynafit's TLT or any other tech alpine touring boot. The spring-tensioned toe piece has a front lever for a secure lock-in, and heel rotates out of the way for quick-and-easy transitions. Dynafit integrated the heel into the baseplate for added stiffness that retains 10mm forward pressure to retain a constant release value from the binding's first skin to its last.
  • Lightweight alpine touring binding for light backcountry skiers
  • 2.5 - 7 DIN suitable for the lightest skiers and children
  • Compatible with TLT (tech) alpine touring boots
  • Spring-tensioned toe piece ensures an easy step-in
  • Heel integrated into baseplate for added stiffness
  • Pivoting toe piece for better downhill release
  • Item #DNF00EM

Not up to par w/ the ST Rotation 10 & 12

Bought these as they're advertised as a lower DIN version of the ST Rotation 10 & 12. They do have a rotating toe piece similar to the ST Rotation 10 & 12, however the heel piece is actually the same design as the cheaper and older Dynafit ST Radical from ~2011 (not to be confused with the Radical ST 2.0). In other words, the ST Rotation 7's heel piece when compared to the ST Rotation 10 & 12 is: - Missing the 10mm forward pressure - Missing the easier locking brake and base plate - Shorter 25mm boot sole length adjustment (vs 45mm on the ST Rotations)
