    Carbonio 89 Speedskin

The Dynafit Carbonio 89 Speedskin is designed to fit Dynafit's Carbonio 89 ski for reliable traction and smooth uphill glide on fast missions in the backcountry. Its mohair material prevents snow from building up on your skin and weighing you down, and is tear-resistant to adequately withstand abuse from early-season rocks and sticks that might be poking out of the snow. A specially designed membrane seals out snow and ice from getting between the skin and the base of your ski to ensure the adhesive isn't compromised, while Dynafit's Stretch System ensures the skin will stay securely in place on your ski, even after a few laps.

    • Lightweight climbing skin for fast ascents
    • Mohair material provides easy glide and reliable grip
    • Middle membrane seals edges for base-to-skin stickiness
    • Skins are tear resistant for durability against exposed rocks
    • Designed to fit the Dynafit Carbonio 89 ski
    • Item #DNF00CS

    Sketchy and Unreliable

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

The parts that connect the skins to the tips and the tails have broken on a number of occasions, often when I was in remote areas. The rubber that connects the skin to the tip of the ski full-on ripped apart as I was putting the skin on the ski. I had to duct tape everything together in the backcountry. And both of the metal pieces that connect the skins to the tails of the skis also broke. I took them to MEC to get the rivets replaced and they did a good repair job which held but after the 3rd breakage I ended up sending them back. Just too dangerous to be in the backcountry with gear that is unreliable and not strong enough to do its job. Would not recommend these skins ever.
