    Used by the pros.

Look in any pro mechanic’s tool box, and you’ll find a bottle of Dumonde Tech Original Chain Lube. It’s a bit more viscous than the commonly-used Dumonde Tech Light, but we’ve found it holds up a bit better to bad weather and gritty conditions.

    • Forms a low-friction plastic plating on the chain
    • More-viscous formula is ideal for foul weather
    • Washes out with soap and water

    Amazing Chain Lube

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Mainly use this lube on the mountain and cyclocross bikes. Seems to keep dirt and grime out of the drivetrain longer than other lubes I've used. Adding this lube to a clean chain makes the drivetrain nearly silent.

    why use anything else?

this is great chain lube. i just keep buying it now every time. i have tried the wax based and teflon. they are all good but this is great.

    Chain Magic

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is the best chain lube overall. It is interesting when switching to this lube from others that the chain, cassette, and mech are noticeably quieter and smoother. It works great for the conditions in mountain bike paradise - utah! Clean your chain before you use it and let it sit on the chain for a bit then wipe off the chain before you ride to minimize attracting grit. Try it you will never want anything else.

    Best chain lube, period.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It may not save you the most watts, but honestly, I don't care. It is incredibly easy to apply, it doesn't attract a lot of dirt, and it lasts a long time and keeps my drivetrain quiet and working well.

Being a mechanic, I've tried all sorts of weird chain lube ideas, from parrafin wax, to rubbing chains in teflon powder, to every single lube you could ever name, and this stuff just works.

    The reviews say it all.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is by far the best chain lube, hands down. Works great in dry and wet conditions. Chain doesn't seem to pick up too much dirt too, which is a huge bonus.

    Yeah; same as everybody said

I didn't think I needed to chime in as everyone has raved about this stuff in these reviews, and I agree. After nearly 2 years of using it, I find it superior to everything else that I've tried. Just another tip: let it 'soak in ' preferably overnight, before wiping off, it will get into the pins and rollers and actually sort of 'dry' on the surface. I use it as a sort of 'cleaner' right after riding, wiping just a dab onto the moving chain, and then after a few hours or the next day, wipe it off with a dry cloth. Always a clean (smiling) chain, and never a squeak. I seem to get more mileage out of my chains and cassettes, but I rotate a lot of bikes so that's not necessarily proven yet. The blue (thicker) version is for when I think it might get wet, but mostly I use the yellow one.

      Lube of choice

Like most bike parts you try out different products until you find something you really like. Well this is the chain lube for me. This stuff is nice and light on your chain and holds for a really long time. I usually apply every week or two depending on how often i am riding. This stuff isn't gloppy like other brands, and gets it super clean. Do yourself a favor and pick some up! If you are new to biking and need some helping getting going feel free to reach out anytime!

      Cant beat it

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was using some other chain lube with a weird applicator until my friend let me use his which happened to be this brand of lube. I immediately went home and ordered some, and couldn't be happier. Great product!

      best chain lube there is

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used this lube for years after trying many different kinds, a little goes a long way, its nice and viscous and makes the chain roll really well!...if you ride MTB a small dab of this is also good for your fork seals

The best for a range of conditions

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have used extensively, and tested just about every chain lube out there; I rather enjoy seeing what is going to provide the best friction reduction, shifting, and lasts longest; while obviously running reasonably clean. My obsession with chain lubricant came with advent of 11-speed drive trains, as a few of us were seeing at most 800 miles out of chains with out typical go-to lube.

While we can't ask any lube to run completely clean, Dumond Tech has the perfect viscosity to only leave a thin film on your drivetrain, rather than the piles of goop you can get with wax-based lubricants.

This lube is light enough to run fairly clean, but thick enough that it doesn't make a mess during application. It also has a great lifespan per application; I have been getting around 120 miles per application before noticing that my chain is sounding rather dry. I have yet to shed all of the lube and have my ride sounding like something headed for the junk yard.

This works equally well on the road and mountain; I highly recommend it if you have diverse conditions, and especially in harsh conditions.

      Better for my riding

I have loved using Dumond Tech Lite lube, but I was applying it after every ride, it was just too light. The original is more vicious, so it tends to do better for my riding in Utah.
