It's an ideal choice for aggressive riders seeking strength and stiffness from an aluminum wheel, but without depleting your funds for upgrades to your trail bike or trips to iconic riding destinations.
A touch wider than standard wheels, the 30-millimeter inner width places it into a progressive category of modern trail wheels designed for voluminous rubber. This added rim width readily accepts average trail tires of 2.3 inches, all the way up to the plus-sized rubber pushing 2.8-inch territory. Running larger tires gives you the ability to drastically lower tire pressure, providing ample traction across loose trail surfaces and plush support when you're plunging into descents littered with loose rubble.
Accommodating the Boost standards ubiquitous to modern trail machines, the XM 1501 Spline One 30 Boost 29in Wheel benefits from extra stiffness afforded by its wider hub spacing, in turn improving the spoke bracing angle for a reliably stout, stiff build. Speaking of the hubs, DT Swiss employs a custom version of their legendary 240s straightpull hub, complete with a 36-tooth ratchet on the rear for quick engagement. The straightpull hub design accommodates straight spokes without a bend at the head, thereby eliminating weak spots. This makes it all the more tough and responsive, seeing you'll be thrashing this wheel for years to come.
This particular wheel is available as a front or rear, in Boost spacing only. As a rear wheel, there's an included SRAM XD freehub body conversion for SRAM's newest 1x11 and 1x12 drivetrains. If you're rocking a Shimano drivetrain or SRAM 9/10-speed set-up, it'll work with these configurations straight from the box. It's optimized for tubeless set-up, seeing as how you'll want to reap the benefits of running lower pressure with voluminous tires. DT Swiss includes a tubeless valve and tape with each wheel for convenience, as well as center lock/IS adapter for fitting your 6-bolt brake rotors.

Please can you help me . Can I put this on my 2017 giant it came with 27.5 rims total OD with tire is 28.5 . Can I put a 700 c tire on this DT Swiss rim . a 700x35c tire for road uses . The hub axal size I have to check . The bike is XTC advanced 3 . Thanks so much . Don

Don, They would fit on your bike. However I would not suggest this wheelset because the internal width is 30mm which is extremely wide for 35mm tires. The max width I would use for that size tires would be 25mm internal width.
