La Nina.

El Nino might be the preferred weather pattern of most skiers, but even The Boy doesn't guarantee you'll spend the whole winter living in dumptown. When you're ripping variable conditions, with boot-deep blower one day, manky leftovers the next, and crusty groomers for a few days after, the DPS Nina 99 Pure3 Women's Ski is the tool you want.

It's based on DPS' Yvette ladies' pow ski, but DPS slimmed the Nina down to 99mm underfoot to give it more all-year all-mountain awesomeness. It didn't change the legendary Pure3 construction, though, so the Nina still rocks a lightweight and super-energetic aspen core that's sandwiched between two layers of prepreg carbon fiber, giving the ski a highly stable and edgy, but still playful, feel. UHMW sidewalls help prevent torsion, or twisting, which means the Nina has great edge grip on hard snow and can be skied aggressively without folding up or feeling flimsy and scary.

DPS didn't do anything crazy with the sidecut or camber profiles of the Nina, either. There's a generous amout of powerful and grippy camber underfoot that's balanced out with mellow rocker in the tip and tail, so you can take your adventures off piste without burying your tips into soft snow or getting locked into a turn that takes you straight into a tree. The raised tail lets you scrub speed, throw your skis sideways, and make quick turns like it's no big deal, and DPS' Paddle Tech sidecut profile blends the sidecut down to almost nothing a the contact points, so you can make all sorts of turn shapes without feeling like the Nina has a mind of its own. It's finished off with bomber steel edges hardened to 48 Rockwell, and World Cup bases that provide plenty of zip and durability, perfect for seasons of all-mountain adventuring.
