DC NX/GX Eagle e-Bike

As e-mountain bikes have grown in popularity over recent years, DeVinci stealthily made their foray into the pedal-assisted world with the DC NX/GX Eagle Complete e-bike. Like their aluminum high-performance mountain bikes, the Optimum G04 Aluminum frame is made in-house in DeVinci's Canadian facility, and then cleanly integrated with Shimano's lightweight yet consistently powerful STEPS E8000 motor and battery system. The DC also features DeVinci's renowned Split Pivot rear suspension design, working with the Fox Performance Elite suspension to keep your tires glued to the ground across rough terrain with its 150mm of rear travel paired with 160mm up front. The geometry bears a resemblance to DeVinci's all-mountain bikes, employing a notably slack 66-degree head angle along with generous reach figures to provide the stability you need to stay in control on tricky descents or faster sections of trail. And with high-volume 27.5 x 2.8in Maxxis Plus tires, you'll have plenty of traction on all types of trail surfaces as well as some extra cushion against braking bumps or chunky rocks and roots. All things considered, the DC is well-equipped to extend your rides and get you to places you never thought possible.

The Shimano STEPS E8000 motor is strong enough to handle the steepest climbs, yet the power rolls on smoothly to remain usable in a wide range of conditions. There are three modes to choose from: Eco, Trail, and Boost. Eco delivers the least amount of power and consequently the longest range, ideal for those moments when you're making a conscious effort to save power. Trail mode is the most usable mode for normal trail riding, progressively ramping up the power as you increase your pedaling cadence. Boost mode is quite powerful, providing considerable pedal-assistance up to speeds of 20mph. The computer display on the handlebar allows you to switch between these modes, and shows you the current mode as well as your current speed. With Shimano's compact E8020 battery integrated into the DC's downtube, you'll have power for up to 47 miles of riding in Trail mode, or 31 miles if you go full-bore in Boost mode.
