    For the versatile traveler.

Deuter's Quantum 70+ 10 Backpack handles long trips through Asia as well as your weekend warrior excursions in the mountains. Its Aircontact SL suspension system includes a X-frame for rigid support with heavy loads, Deuter's Vari Flex system for flexible mobility, and breathable padding for comfort. Vari-Quick back adjustment moves the contoured shoulder straps nearer or farther from the anatomically padded waist belt to ensure a customized fit.

The Quantum 70+ 10 is a traditional top loader, and Deuter added a U-shaped front zipper for quick-and-easy access to the main compartment. The detachable daypack makes an excellent companion for short hikes, museums, and sightseeing. This backpack also features a rain cover that wraps completely around the backpack for use as a transport cover on flights. There are two additional compartments for sleeping bags and wet gear, and pockets inside, at the lid, and at the sides give plenty of storage for the smaller things.

    Versatile Pack!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Originally purchased this pack for traveling (and it’s done exceptionally well! - copious amounts of space and versatility!), but found it to be fantastic hiking and camping. Very durable and well thought out design, it’s become my go-to pack for almost all outings. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this pack!

    Great Durable Pack

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this for my husband and this is what he had to say, "I spent 2 weeks traveling Europe with this pack and it turned out to be a blessing and a curse. Tons of storage that allowed me to over pack. This is a very durable pack that is well constructed that I can tell will handle years of travel and backpacking to come. I especially love the detachable 10L bag that I used for day exploring and use now for my every day gym bag. Another feature I really enjoy is the adjustable back support on this bag that allows for different body frames. Would highly recommend this bag for all serious travelers and backpackers."

    Great Trek Bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just took this bad Larry out to Wales and man was it comfy. I packed it down with about 45 Lbs and I barely noticed wearing it, even on the long hike up and over the Black Mountains it was comfortable and rode perfectly with almost not adjustments needed. The little +10 bag is cool for a day pack if your setting up camp and exploring from there or you can leave it on and put your Gortex in there for easy access. I left the little bag at home because I fit everything in the main bag. The bag has a top pouch on it that is also great for quick access to gortex, warmies or food. The whole front of the bag opens up for main compartment access which is nice, no more pulling things out because your Jetboil is on the bottom just unzip and pull. I think one of the best featjres though it the rainfly/travel bag. This is a perfect solution to the constant airport struggle we all face. You can throw it on when it rains and it keeps you pack nice and dry, they when you get to the gate zip it closed and check it in no problems. All in all its a great bag and plan to make it my main trekking pack from here on out, sorry Osprey.
