    Ride safe.

Crashes can hurt. Demon is well aware of this fact. That's why its designers came up with the Men's SKINNS Impact Short. The SKINNS gives you the comfort and moisture-wicking of other high-performance shorts, with an added feature. This short also protects common impact areas with high-density memory foam, so you can take a hit, get back up, and keep going.

    Runs small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Good bit of added protection. The foam is pretty thin so it if you have a heavy fall it's not going to stop you breaking your tailbone. Will definitely give you a bit of cushion to minimise bruising.
Runs very small though. I'm a slim guy but didn't come close to being able to get the medium on. I've re-ordered the large.

    Depends what you want.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is my 4th Padded shorts mainly because I have zero pain tolerance.

It will NOT make your butt look even bigger. (could e a con too)
Its got double pad for the tail bone. I didn't want all that other pads around the hip, thigh areas.
comfortable fabric. Actually my favorite fabric so far.
I think sizing is right on. Bought these for my son. M fit his 31" waist.

the pocket for the pads doesn't have an over flap which means the pads can slip out. I sewed mine. together.
You still can't fall ever which way on your tail bone. Azzpadz is better for that.

    Perfect size and fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I just got these in large (I'm 6'4, 180 pounds, 32-34 size) and they fit perfectly. They're super light and there is a second tailbone pad included so you can put that in with an existing pad for extra protection which is precisely what I did. I definitely recommend these shorts if you're looking for high quality and affordability.

Great shorts, definitely worth the money

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I ordered these this summer(2014) for the upcoming season and I am a size 32-34 and the L fits perfect. The material is really light and the padding is positioned/ designed in the right zones. I previously had the Red impact shorts and I can tell this will be much better there less bulky and actually give you more tailbone protection so there isn't any excuse not to where them everytime I head to the hill. I guess the one guy on here had bad luck with the sizing and the other just ordered the wrong size. Overall this is a great product and will help you get up after each slam in the terrain park, I cant wait to wear these badboys.

    Sizing is way off...

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Wanted an easy to wear protection layer for downhill skiing. This product looked like a fit, but the sizing is way off. I am 6' and weigh 170 lbs, so I ordered a medium. The thing is so small it is beyond compression fit. Had the same experience as J.D. that the stitching on the waistband ripped when trying to put it on, so it is also clearly beyond its designed stretch. I fenced it off to my wife, who usually wears size S, and she seems happy with it...

    Freakishly small sizing...

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I am 6' tall, weight about 175 lbs, and am very fit. Typically I wear a size 32 inch pant and a medium or large compression short for biking. Based on the size chart on the Demon website, I ordered a men's large (32-34 in) from Backcountry. It was way too small. I sent this back and next ordered a X-Large (34-36 in). It arrived and again it was too small. In fact, this time some of the stitching on the waistband ripped as I put them on! I double-checked the tag and these were in fact labeled men's XL. In both cases, the sizing of the items I received seemed extremely small for a man's sizing and seem better suited to a woman sizing. Not sure if there was some gross mislabeling of this item, but at the very least Backcountry quickly assisted me in returning these items. Conceptually, these look like they would fit my needs but with such freakish sizing I'll need to look elsewhere.

I couldn't be happier with the shorts. They are super light and i can't even tell i have them on. I have bailed a few times hard as F&*K on my tail bone and no pain whatsoever,.

      Thanks again
