Four-season body armor that hardens in an instant.
Take chances and charge in the Demon Snow Flex-Force X D30 Top Body Armor V2. Made of Lycra and mesh for breathable four-season stretch, it features heavy-duty D30 foam padding at the elbows, shoulders, and back, and Sas-Tec padding at the collarbone, wrists, and ribs. It's soft and flexible with normal movement, and then the D30 hardens on impact to form a rigid, protective shield for superior safety. Hook-and-loop forearm straps customize the fit at the elbows, silicone-beaded wraps do the same for the wrists, and mesh panels extend from the wrists to the ribs, providing exceptional ventilation. The X D30 also offers the options of easily accommodating Sas-Tec's CE chest protector insert and seamlessly integrating with Demon's neck brace for full-coverage crash insurance. With a snug, athletic fit overall, this top offers functional upper-body protection without bulk for full-flex, full-featured performance.

Works great, no color bleeding
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I bought this because I broke my collarbone three months ago and was nervous because I knew I was going to be taking some falls on my arms and shoulders since I haven't even fully exited recovery. I used it three times (three days) this past weekend while learning to do some technical snowboard maneuvers and true to my thoughts, I landed square on my shoulder multiple times. This armor, without a doubt, either wholly or in part, saved my shoulder every time and allowed me to get back up and keep going immediately with no pain and no worries.
Regarding fit, I double and triple checked the sizing on their site against my own and ended up with a medium, which fit perfectly. If you've never worn armor like I hadn't, it will probably feel odd. I removed the back armor pad because it's not really necessary when snowboarding.
On top of the function, it looks pretty good, too. It's not too bulky (without the back plate, anyway) and I wore it on the outside since it was very spring-y and didn't feel weird about it at all. I actually got one compliment on it.
Other reviews mention the color bleeds -- I was wearing white underneath and a mid-tint purple/blue material on top of this and neither had bleeding. I haven't washed it yet as I didn't see any instructions on the tags but that's on the agenda for this weekend.
The only thing I would request is that they make all the pads removable as I noticed the wrists and others are not removable. Otherwise cheers to Demon for such a functionally good and good-looking product. They really gave me the confidence I needed after a severe injury to get back out and ride.
Colors run badly
This product color runs both in black and reddish in the back in the kidney areas. What's even worse it can not be washed! What sports clothing is made so that you can not wash it? Probably because the colors won't stay on. It is true to size and would work great for me skiing SL and GS but it ruining all the clothes next to this product
Good fit and quality
I am 5'11'' and 75KG and ordered an L. It fits just fine (although I ordered size M for knee pads.
very fit and thick.

I'm 172cm 75kg regular to athletic build.
Will M-size fit me ok or should I go with L?
Hey Viktor - I am a Large in the Demon Snow Flex-Force X D30 (186 cm, 84 kg) so I would think Medium would be the way to go for you but it will depend on your waist and chest measurements (I have a 38" Chest, 34" Waist). Feel free to contact me directly with any additional questions. Kyle L. - Expert Gearhead
