Waypoint Grip

Often utilized, but rarely maximized, diamond-pattern grips suffered from stale design—at least until Deity came along with the Waypoint Grip. A smart tapered internal sleeve eliminates play for a solid feel, and the TRC rubber compound offers an amazingly comfortable feel right out of the package. The body of the Waypoint seamlessly transitions to the end of the grip to give you room to stretch out during long climbs and avoid having your hands on metal clamps.

  • New leader in diamond pattern grip design
  • Deity TRC rubber for exceptional durability
  • Tapered inner sleeve for seamless contact with handlebar
  • Seamless transition through end of grip for comfort
  • Diamond pattern wraps around the edge of grip
  • Item #DTC000D

Great grip, super price!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
True to size

I like these a lot. $22 is a super price. They're secure, and have just the right amount of squish. I prefer a single locking collar. They are a bit softer than many grips, though the thickness of the grip is, "not thick". Smashing them into trees will damage them, but that cannot be a realistic pass/fail for a grip.

Did his grips fit any mountain bike or did you have to measure it first before you ordered them

Great grip for the cash.

I've had several sets of these on my bikes over the years. Super grippy with a fairly good life span.

Grip and Length

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Lots of grip and super slim profile which is great sometimes but not enough support for me on trail rides. I opted for Deity’s Knuckleduster. When switching I did notice this grip seems longer than average too. Tossed it on my dirt jumper and I think it might be a match made in dirt heaven.

Comfortable & Grippy

Familiarity:

Picked up a pair of the blue grips to go with the stem and bars. The three look great together...just saying. The grips are comfortable, grippy, and so far, have held up to some carnage. Easy to slide on and the lock-on grip is always a plus.

Got these to spice up my Remedy 9.8. They're nice, good grip. I bought the same color deity saddle and they go really well with each other. Get em!!

Get the Grip for the Occasion

Familiarity:

I love Deity products so I thought I would give the Waypoint a try. I like a larger diameter grip for my trail bike like the Rogue but I'm always down to try something new. The Waypoint is slim and super grippy which proved to be a bit harsh for me. Even with gloves I ended up tearing the skin on my palm after a full day of lift service which has never happened to me in the past. On the flip side, I LOVE this grip on my DJ. They are textured enough to maintain a light grip on the bars and I've found I can session comfortably all day with or without gloves and without damaging my hands. I would highly recommend this grip for BMX or dirt jumping but look to something else for your trail/DH bike.

Great initially but quality decreases

Familiarity:

These grips are really comfortable but definitely break down quicker than a better-made pair. I've used them for about a month and I’ve already started to see some wear and tear. You pay for what you get with these.

Grip it and Rip it

Familiarity:

These lock on grips will keep you attached to your bars even when the riding gets loose. The rubber is comfortable and durable, I would recommend these to anyone looking for an upgrade.
