    Great Platform

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this pedal. Really good grip for a plastic pedal and the platform is big enough for good support but a little smaller profile than their other pedals. I have smaller feet and find these are the perfect size platform.

Had these on 3 bikes now.

It's hard to call these a budget pedal with how well these perform. And with an awesome array of colors to match whatever color scheme you are going for.

The bee's knees if bees had knees!

Cheap, light, durable... Generally you pick 2 of these options and call it good. Not with these pedals. They come as the total package.

Durable - These will withstand rock strikes, crashes, animals who attack, and they support the heavy hitter riders with ease (Brendan fairclough, Tyler McCaul for a quick reference). The bearings and spindles can also take a major beating and still keep spinning, so there's another load off your mind!

Light - The body is a nylon plastic base, so they won't weigh your ride down, and they handle whatever you throw at them. The pedal pins are removeable, and have an excellent pattern for grip placement as well. What's that, you lost some pins? Deity sells replacements for 6.99! Cha ching!

Cheap - If you do manage to break these pedals, you will feel happy knowing you can easily replace them, and still afford those post ride beers. Finally, and here is the best part, IF you do something silly like bend the spindle, or strip the threads, you can purchase just the spindle from deity for 7.49! That leaves you with even MORE money for post ride beers!

    Great basic pedal

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my second pair of Deity platform pedals. No complaints. Plenty of surface area and grip. Hold up against the occasional impact with passing dirt / rocks. I love that they come in so many colors!

    Best Budget Pedal

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I own a much more expensive Deity pedal but rode these on a demo bike and was impressed so I bought a pair. I put these on my wife's new bike and swap them around when not riding clipless. I have owned several pairs of flats from several manufacturers and don't think you can beat these for the price.

    Entry Level Pedal

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am a new biker, and i did not want to put a flashy high priced piece of equipment down on my feet until i knew i would not hit a ton of rocks.
This pedal is pretty swell, the composite material is tough enough to take some rock strikes, and still not be cracked, or damaged. The grips could be longer, however they serve well to keep my feet in place while climbing, and descending.
I liked the ability to choose a different color, and personalize my ride.

    Tough and Grippy

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I usually ride a aluminum body pedals for their durability but recently picked up some of the Compounds for a budget build. I have to say I'm impressed! The bearings feel good quality and are sealed, the body feels tough, and the pins are quite grippy. these are one of the biggest bangs for your buck in pedals!

    Love these pedals!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a super lightweight pedal and an affordable option. I've heard a lot of great things about Deity Components and highly recommend these. Also, they look slick on my black/red bike.

Good pedal at a great price

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Super durable from everything I've experienced with them thus far. A more traditional and low cost flat pedal but I've really liked them for the few times I've ridden them.

    Lightweight, awesome pedal

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had a pair of Deity Compound pedals on my bike for years, they're a perfect entry level flat, reasonable price, but work well and will last for years.

    Deity Compound Pedals

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These bad boys stick to your feet like no other!! Huge platform so even if you shift your foot around on the pedal you'll still be stuck like glue. In the off chance you do slip a pedal, you're going to get a big fat shinner, but again, that's not likely. Awesome pedal.

    Best flat pedals.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I always use these when choosing flats. They're always on the DJ bike, and when riding chairs. The price is not high enough for what you get. Not only do you get a wicked thin, super light, durable pedal, you get the Deity logo.

    Good pedal, but over priced

You can find non-branded/ off-branded versions of this same pedal for less than $30 on the web.

Other than that, they are basic and they work. I've use them on my fat bike because plastic is more ice resistant for winter riding.

      Just saying....

      Steak and Potatoes

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These pedals are pretty amazing. I have been riding them for a few years and they have been solid performers. The standout here is price. I have ridden some $150+ pedals that while they are reasonably light and crazy grippy, have had some major design flaws when it comes to maintenance and durability. I have had these compound pedals take more of a beating than some alloy pedals and they are still going strong, not to mention, I can buy three pairs of these for the price of some others.

Solid Pin Placement, Great Durability, Pretty light weight, Nice Shape.
I love these with the super grippy 5.10 rubber.
I could knock back a star because they are not concave like some other modern pedals, but I would just add it back because the value is tough to beat.
