    Greet spring with winter-hardened fitness.

Spring season is unforgiving, perhaps not in the temperatures, as you're graced with warmer weather and sunshine to kiss your skin, but rather in the fact that it is known to punish you for winter months that were spent immobile, planted on a couch with a bottle of your favorite Red and silky dark chocolate truffles. Instead of letting spring hit you with a sucker punch, challenge yourself to wintery rides through the frosty months in the Limited Edition De Marchi Women's Veloce Thermal Bib Tights. With just the right amount of thermal insulation, thanks to their Thermal Roubaix construction, you'll find that your legs can stay pleasantly warm as your body heat is trapped within their fleecy matrix. Thermal Roubaix offers just enough gentle stretch to let you move freely on the bike, feeling less restricted than some bulky winter bib tights, and wrapping around your muscles supportively with 3-D engineered design. The design is ideal for keeping rough stitches away from soft skin, and allowing each panel to support and move with you while you ride.

Underneath all of the tech-laden fabric likes an equally savvy chamois, so you can stay supported when you're hammering through your base-miles. The Veloce Thermal Bib Tights use the Elastic Interface Veloce Women's chamois, which reduces pressure on sensitive anatomy, and minimizes friction. The result is multi-density support that cushions your sit bones, alleviates your most tender parts, and moves with you while minimizing chafing. At the top of the chamois is a gentle, stretchy fabric that fights odor, and wicks away moisture, so you can keep fresh from the moment you saddle up to when you arrive at the café for the post-ride cappuccino and biscotti that you earned.

    • Insulating bib tights for riding through frosty winter days
    • Your muscles receive a gentle hug from contoured 3D fit
    • Thermal Roubaix fabric traps heat inside and allows free motion
    • Women's specific chamois supports sit bones and prevents chaffing
    • Elastic straps secure bib in place for a comfortable ride

    Mixed Bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Bit of a mixed review for this particular item. First, the fleece lining is soft, though most of the time I find (as is the case with these) it can always be a bit thicker, particularly on very cold days. The outer poly-blend layer is nice for helping keep the wind and dampness off the skin too. I've worn these on a 25F degree day with no sun and survived. Once I was moving, things were good, but initially, I was still on the cold side. The legs are very long (though I'm not quite 5'4"), so they bunch up on me - but taller ladies should have no problem with the length. I did find that the torso seems to run a bit short. The chamois was fine for a 30-mile ride. I haven't been able to test any longer distances yet with these. The compression on these is good - neither too firm nor too loose, in my opinion. My two gripes are 1) I don't care for having the ankle gripper at the end of the leg. I have slim ankles and it's pretty snug in that area (though on the positive, I suppose there's no danger of wind getting up the leg). Still, I don't find that I have a problem when there's no grip/silicone at the ankle, so I think this could be eliminated. 2) I found that the material slides quite a bit on my leather saddle. Perhaps this wouldn't be an issue on synthetic saddles, but it was quite a nuisance to constantly be readjusting while riding because of sliding. It's just sapping energy from me needlessly.

Would buy more of the brand

I wore these for a 20 mile ride, fall like weather. It was 60 degrees at the begging of the ride and around 54 degrees at the finish with 10 mph winds. I am always cold, so these may have been a tad much for this ride but they are warm and comfortable. True to size, I would have got a small if they had it. Mediums were long but otherwise fine. Sweet fine for the price and quality.
