I've owned merino wool Smartwool socks and figured I'd give these a try. I've heard good things about Darn Tough, so I am surprised that these do not keep my feet warm! I'm indoors right now with these on and my feet are cold! My Smartwool socks are a bit thicker and my feet are never cold with them on. Too bad these are a bit thinner. They look nice, but don't serve the purpose I bought them for.

Wool is unstoppable, but Darn Tough is indestructible. Awesome for all seasons. Picked these because I love how much this pair reminds me of a Bad Case of Stripes as a kid. :)
