This is my first pair of Darn Tough socks and love them! They have cushion were you need it most and they feel supportive and never fall down! The construction is good and while I have not had them a long time, but so far they have lived up to there name.

Can't beat them

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've used a few different merino socks as I struggle a little with blistering, and I've just not found a better alternative yet. You can't be a the lifetime guarantee. I've actually had a few pairs replaced over the years just from being worn out with a hole here or there and it's a seamless process. Very satisfied

My Go-To Socks

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Darn Tough is synonymous with the best merino brands out there and the Hiker Boot Cushion Sock personifies this with a blend that stays very durable while remaining soft and cushion-y. The design and look is sleek but simple and the fit is pretty much true to size.

Great fit and plenty warm enough for winter running. I will absolutely be getting a few pair of these. Might be a little too warm for warm weather hiking.

QUALITY!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I love these socks! Enough padding to provide additional comfort compared to any other socks, but not too bulky to where they wont fit into your shoes/boots. The padding is in the areas you need it, instead of throughout the entire sock. I love the fit, nice and snug. They look great, I love the colors they offer. I wear them often and they seem to hold up well so far compared to others. They are the perfect thickness to keep your feet warm without all the bulk. If I could afford to have enough pairs to wear everyday, it would be a no brainer. I plan to buy a few pairs here and there until eventually I have enough to wear daily. They are that good.

Great Socks

I gave these to my grandpa for Christmas and he says he loves them. Also says the lifetime warranty is impressive but doesn't mean as much to a 93 year old man.

So legit

Darn tough makes the best socks for outdoor recreation. I gave these as a gift to both my brother-in-law and father-in-law. Both are extreme outdoorsman and work outside often. They both reported that they love these socks and are amazed at how dry and warm their feet stay. Overall, great gift idea - for yourself or anyone!

Nice sock

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

These are good every-day sock. Good for travel, they look nice, long flights when you want to take your shoes off on the plane, but not empty the plane because of your stinky feet. I had very high expectations from them and they barely met them. Possibly I had ridiculous expectations, so I still give them 5 stars! I’ll buy more, don’t think any sock could exceed them by much.

favorite socks by far

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I didn't think it would be possible for me to be so enthusiastic about socks. By far the best I've owned. Comfortable, durable, and great at temperature regulation. I wore these on a recent backpacking trip and my feet felt great the whole time and I got no blisters, which I've been very prone to with any other sock in the past.

The Ultimate Backpacking and Hiking Sock

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

If you are looking for a backpacking/hiking sock, look no further, these are just perfect. They have the perfect amount of cushion to handle a backpackiing boot and rocky terrain, but aren't so heavy that your feet get sweaty. I have bought both the mens and womens version of these socks for years and have never gotten a hole in the socks or a blister on my foot. These are always my go-to recommendation because they perform so well. I highly recommend them.

warm and comfy!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These socks are incredibly comfortable. They are thick and padded which was awesome for hiking all day and for wearing on an overnight bivy. They weren’t too warm either when the temps got warm the following day.

Perfect sock!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I went ahead and bought two more pairs after i got these. I wear boots everyday and the super thin socks don't last long and the thick socks create a micro-climate. These socks are the perfect in between and they work for all the seasons.

I wear 9-9.5 (UK)shoes. Will medium be better or should i stick with large?I am think about 4-5 months in,they would start to loosen a bit,or thats not the case? Some Smartwool hikers i have have became a little too loose for my liking (large size).I dont mind tight after all i am kinda skinny(150 lbs).

Hey Quake_gl If you are ok with super tight socks then the Mediums would be a good choice however the size larges should do the trick. The compression band in both the mid and heel of the sock should help keep it's shape and prevent them from stretching out. I have a pair of these and they always become tight again after washing and I've had them for about 6 months now. I hope that this helps answer you questions and please let us know if you have any more. Thanks Jane H.

Are these socks sweaty too the feet in warm months

No, merino socks regulate temperature very well. I wear my merino socks throughout the Utah summer and don't find them too hot or sweaty at all.
