Great ski sock!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Wore these skiing. They were excellent for keeping my feet dry and warm. They stay put around the calves without any sliding down. Appropriately cushioned. A good choice for a quality medium weight ski sock.

Super Comfy and Tough

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These socks are awesome! Super comfy and warm. The merino wool does a great job of keeping the odor of a long day on the mountain at bay. There is plenty of padding in the feet, but next to no padding further up the sock, I might prefer a little added thickness at the shin, but they ended up being comfier than I anticipated when I pulled them out of the package I only wish they came in more color and pattern options, then I would have an excuse to buy more of them.

Perfect Fit, Great Performance!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I'm a size 11, ordered these in a Large, and they were great straight out of the packaging. First day in a snow storm, then washed, and another day in Spring conditions. Feet stayed perfectly warm and comfortable Day 1, and also did great on Day 2. Since they are socks, the best compliment I can give them is that I didn't notice them at all--out of the boot, they look great. I highly recommend them or any other Darn Tough Socks.

Great ski socks.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I am a size 9 and ordered the mediums, they fit perfectly. I've used them several times, they have a durable sheen up to this point, and judging by past Darn Tough socks I've owned they will stand the test of time. I would recommend getting these socks.

Durable

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

These socks have it all. They are comfortable, durable, and look pretty rad. These are my favorite sock for splitboarding.

Durable and Comfortable

Love these socks for the durability and comfort. Warranty is top notch too!

What Else Would You Need for Skiing?

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This is the only sock I want in my ski sock quiver. The light cushioning is perfect for foot to boot contact. If you get a sock with too much cushion it is much harder to activate your foot bed and therefore your ski boot. Excellent moisture wicking properties and can be worn multiple days in a row.

Great Elasticity

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These socks are super comfy and offer great elasticity. Merino wool keeps the funk at bay.

Great socks! Elastic stretches evenly and holds. Comfy cushion, not too bulky. Would buy again.

Look Great, Feel Great

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I went with these because I've heard only good things about Darn Tough, and they certainly met my expectations! I've been wearing these mainly on colder days, and they keep my toes toasty all day. My boots don't have the best insulation, but these socks more than make up for that. They are definitely the best mid-weight sock I own. On top of all of that they look great too! That's obviously not quite as big of a deal as how they perform, but it is a nice added bonus. They also seem to fit very true to size. I generally wear an 11, occasionally an 11.5, and the larges fit me great!

While thinner socks seems to be the convention in skiing, these socks never let you lose the feel for your ski boots. The extra warmth keeps me coming back to using these socks on colder days and my feet are all the happier for it.

Bitchin Midweight Socks

Familiarity:

Fit:
True to size

I normally wear a very thin ski sock, but I grabbed a pair of these for the coldest days so I could squeeze out a couple more laps before having to warm up. They have some cushion which is a nice touch and like all Darn Tough socks they are very well made. I wear a size 9 shoe and 25 ski boot and the medium fits perfectly.

As a former Vermonter, I'm a Darn Tough loyalist for life, so I bought these socks for my husband whose main snowboard socks are beginning to show some wear and tear. It's his first time wearing padded snowboard socks and while they wicked away moisture, kept his feeties warm, provided ample cushioning, and were just plain old darn tough awesome, he said he simply prefers a non-cushioned, lightweight snowboarding sock. However, it certainly won't stop him from wearing them as he's a merino wool fanatic. Not to mention, the color scheme is pretty freaking awesome - say hello to jazzy gams!
