    Coolmax Cushion Micro Crew Sock

Keep your cool when you're hiking in the heat with the Darn Tough Men's Coolmax Cushion Micro Crew Sock. The Coolmax blend fabric pulls sweat away from your skin and dries quickly so your feet stay comfy on the trail, and Darn Tough's performance fit keeps the sock from bunching or slipping to prevent blisters and hot spots. Bottom-of-the-foot cushioning offers comfort mile after mile so you can keep pushing towards the summit.

Awesome hiking socks for all use, as the climacool feature is phenomenal for hiking in any season. Darn Tough also has the best warranty. If they were to fail, you can send them to the company for a new pair.

Ive owned a great many pairs of these socks and never have had one blow out on me. I swear by these socks and recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of dependable socks.

    Durable socks!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought these as gift for my father and he's stoked on them. Durable socks, warm for hiking or even skiing, comfy and have that added cushion as a plus. They also dont look bad either, cant complain, would definitely recommend as a gift!

    Great for backcountry hiking

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Cushioned and worked well in regulating my feet temp while backcountry hiking and camping in the humid and damp Smoky Mountains in June. I suppose the Coolmax function worked, my feet never felt hot. Moisture wicking was good enough even with my gortex lined boots. I use these socks daily as winter boot socks, too.
Warning: don't dry near a fire, the socks could melt (one sock got too close and did melt into a rigid crumble).

    The best socks ever!

I bought these awhile ago and they are my absolute "go-to" socks. I have had many other brands but these wear the best, wash the best, last the best of any brand. They are expensive but compared to all others, I will now buy only Darn Tough. They are hard to get on sale but they are worth the price.

Disappointing - but it is my own fault

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size

I saw the Darn Tough name and assumed this was a merino wool sock. I wondered why my feet were so funky. Not merino, not a stitch. I never would have paid this much for a non merino sock, ever!

As socks they are fine, comfortable, fit right...all that stuff. With all that I'll probably never wear them. These socks stink, literally. It really doesn't help that the reviews seem to indicate that they are merino. Grr.

      Darn Tough To Beat

Yeah yeah, the wordplay of the title was low hanging fruit, but it rings true here. I've been rocking Merino socks for a while and mostly go with Smartwool, Icebreaker and Darn Tough. I've ejoyed Smartwool for more active times like running but have found that the they wear after heavy use the fastest. Icebreaker is good for versatile use but shrink a bit easier over time. Darn Tough socks don't have this issue as much which makes them the merino sock that has the least amount of downsides. The merino weave is comfy but durable feeling while the size continues to be the same with multiple washes. If you are looking for the one merino sock out of them all that works well on a casual and hiking level then this is it.

      Great Socks

I swore off heavy hiking boots and thick socks a long time ago, and have switched over to hiking shoes/trail runners with lighter weight socks. Since then I have been almost exclusively buying Darn Tough socks for my outdoor adventures. Super durable, solid fit, and just the right amount of cushion in all the right spots. My feet love Darn Tough!

      Best hiking socks

I love the fit and feel of Darn Tough hiking socks. I can't say the same for the darn Tough running socks (inconsistent fit and horrible feel). Darn Tough makes the most comfortable hiking socks.
