Stumptown Mountain Pass GTX Boot
The Men's Stumptown Mountain Pass GTX Boot from Danner blends classic lines with lightweight, modern technology. The full-grain leather uppers are durable and waterproof, and they encase a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane that serves to keep your feet dry, while still allowing moisture to escape when you're hiking. A removable polyurethane footbed offers some cushion on the trail, while the Bi-fit board construction midsole ensures stability, especially when carrying a heavy load. These are great warm weather boots. Super comfy once they’re broke in and the Dri-Lex liner helps keep my feet from swamping as they would in a Gore-Tex boot. They are lightweight and awesome for kicking around in the park with the fam, or planting my feet for a few hundred casts in the front of the boat. The leather is durable and cleans up nice. The outsole is a little thin but it performs well, and the boots are recraftable. I might switch it up and try a black cristy sole once these are done. The one thing I don’t like about these is the way the bottom set of speed hooks is positioned. It’s frustrating at times trying to get the lace set in the hook. Very minor issue. I’m very happy with them overall. They are versatile and they look badass with my Gramicci cargo shorts.
Stylish and warm

Bought these for my husband:
Super comfortable and warm boots that are great in the winter. The only problem I have is if I wear them to work, they're a bit warm to wear indoors for long periods and my feet get a little sweaty. Great boots though.
Love these boots!
These are perfect for work and wet conditions. They keep your feet dry and comfortable all day and thereâs almost no break-in period for them to form to your feet. The only downside to these is that they are on the heavier side. But fantastic boots, they last forever even using them for work. The gtx (wide) is extremely helpful for wider feet!
Warning: The Mountain Pass in Rio Latigo is not Gore-Tex lined. Instead, it is lined with Dri-Lex, providing "water resistance" but not 100% waterproof. I'm not sure why Danner makes every other color of the Mountain Pass with Gore-Tex except this one. I was confused about this because different websites report different things in their product descriptions, so I called Danner directly and they confirmed that Rio Latigo is not Gore-Tex lined.
Otherwise, it is a wonderful boot. It's just not waterproof...
Good quality boot but not all that comfortable. The insole feels lumpy and doesn't have much arch support. I'll be sending them back. The tread depth of the outsole is pretty shallow. If they're worn daily you'll end up sending them in for retread. I gave it 3 stars because of the comfort level
I see no width indicated, are they D width?
Hello Trevor, In the tech specs these say they are "Wide-EE"
Hope this helps,
