Mountain 600 Low Dry Hiking Shoe

Between the dripping eaves of gossamer, wolfsbane lace, and the smell of freshly minted pine trees, you're utterly head over heels in love with the Pacific Northwest. And your commitment to wearing the Danner Men's Mountain 600 Low Dry Hiking Shoe rain or shine, city or forest is a testament to such an affair.

Designed with the same features as the high-top edition, the Mountain 600 Low is equipped with a rugged suede upper that defends your foot against trail-side obstacles, while the Danner Dry membrane provides waterproof protection from puddles and precipitation alike. The Vibram SPE midsole attenuates shock and offers a springy feel underfoot, without making you feel as though you've got ten-ton weights attached to your foot. Additionally, the Vibram Fuga outsole assures ample traction, regardless of whether you're traveling through slick, wet, or dry terrain.

Excellent Hiking Shoe

I got these boots just in time for a trip to Vegas/ Utah. I used them as my hiking/ approach show at Zion National Park, Moe's Valley and Craft Boulders. The shoe itself is very stiff and the construction feels durable. The traction felt great on rocky trails and scrambles and the support was good for the longer hikes. They also kept my feet dry walking through puddles and shallow streams. My only complaint is that since the shoes are so stiff it felt like I really had to crank the laces down to get a tight fit and I have average to slightly wide feet. Overall I really like the shoe and I'd recommend it to someone looking for a versatile short to medium range hiking shoe.

Casual yet durable

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

This shoe looks great in a casual office setting, but also ready to hit the trail. Durable and well made. Some reviews of Danner suggested ordering a size larger than what you wear, but this one fit true to normal size.

Does Backcountry carry the Danner footwear in wide widths? I am looking for a new pair of Mountain 600’s in the low style and there no wide widths listed.

Hi Thomas, we do not have them in wide widths.
