Noisy and unsupportive

I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
6' 2"

I would not buy these shoes again. The footbed is very weak and flimsy for a shoe at this cost, from a heritage maker, and proposed for use as a hiker. I would not hike any distance in these shoes without putting a new more supportive footbed in them. This would add another $15-$20 to the cost of the shoe. The other issue with the shoes is the noise. The upper materials make quite a bit of noise between the tongue and the other parts of the shoe. It sounds like synthetic materials rubbing against each other and is very loud at each step. I like the classic design and the colors are good, but the fundamental functions of the shoes are flawed. They fit slightly larger than normal but not enough to size down.
