Great materials but poor quality control

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I wanted a sturdy and highly water-resistant backpack for daily use and decided to look for ones made of sailcloth. This back pack is quite sturdy, materials are great and what i wished for. But the actual design is not on par with materials. Firstly, magnetic buckles are great, but the they close to the opposite side: one slides upwards and the other downwards, which is irritating. I think it is quality control issue rather than intended design. Secondly, compression straps are sewn after the laptop pocket zipper, which is clever not to unbuckle them to get your laptop, but the zipper always gets stuck at the strap, because they are so close, and it actually takes more time to open this pocket. Thirdly, inner pocket for headphones is great, but it flaps around and always gets in the way, when you try to put something inside the main pocket, it should have a zipper or a hook to be secured. And I also had an undone zipper of the inner pocket, which was not sewn to the body, so the zipper was useless as the pocket is always open, that is indeed a quality control issue, I was offered an exchange, but decided not not to do it as it is not such a bad flaw to harm the environment with this return shipments. But this issues should not happen with a 300 dollar backpacks. So, is it a good pack? Yes, the materials are great and are holding up well, it is quite roomy and does the job nicely, but, in my opinion, is overpriced. I will continue to use it and i like it, but I think that my previous Fjallraven Raven backpack is a lot more bang for your buck. But, if you want a sailcloth pack, like i did, there are not a lot out there and this one is the best of them all.
