Your steadfast ally in the fight against frostbite.

On the coldest days of winter, reach for your trusty Dakine Titan mittens and know that your fingers will still be there when you get back inside. The generous 350g insulation keeps your digits toasty, and they'll stay dry thanks to the waterproof, breathable Gore Tex insert. There's a tacky Rubbertec palm for tweaked grabs, plus the removable glove liner is smartphone-compatible, so answering phone calls won't mean begging for frostbite. When the mercury dips below zero, you'll appreciate the zippered stash pockets, which make a perfect home for heat packs. Sure, it's cold enough to drive everyone back into the lodge, but those powder stashes aren't going to rip themselves.

    Perfect for Freezing Temps

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After purchasing a different brand of mitts and having my hands almost freeze, I was really counting on these to deliver. I love these. They are great for freezing temps, especially with the pockets for hand warmers, which I only had to use once at the peak of Sugarloaf. The glove liners are great for being able to check your phone on the lift without your hands freezing. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

    Great mitts

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Faking makes quality products and these mitts are no different. Just what you would expect, waterproof, minimalist design, and the heat warmer zip pocket is perfect for rfid lift tix. Inner liner glove is warm and durable too.

very warm but runs small: XL = size 9.5

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I love these gloves which is why I bought them but I will say that the XL is a size 9.5 when you get them and can see the tag. I returned them because they are just too small. No XXL was available at backcountry. so I went with the Hestra Army Leather Heli 3-Finer Glove instead. While the Titan is great, I believe the Hestra liner won't tear nearly as easily as the Titan. The liner is more like a Nike running glove, that isn't very thick.

    This is the ONE!

Love these gloves. For under $100 dollars there is no glove better! They are warm as is but the liner makes them awesome for really cold days. Love having the option of taking them off getting on my phone and the lift and keeping my hands warm! I have been wearing them all season and haven't seen any problems with durability. Cuff comes over the wrist and keeps snow out and rubber thumb is awesome for keeping good visibility on for deep days!

      Great for cold-weather skiing

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

With the liners these are fantastic for skiing below 20F, they were comfortable all the way down to 5F. Above 25F you might want to remove the liners, or switch to lighter gloves/mittens.
You can use the cinch cord to attach the mittens to your wrists, and they cover your wrist so no snow or cold air will come in.

      Super warm!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Very warm, comfortable, and functional. Come with inner liners for super cold days, that can be left in the car on warmer days. They also come high up the wrist to keep powder out.

      Toasty Toasty

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I own a couple of the lower priced dakine mittens, and this one is by far much warmer. The gore tex insert keeps them waterproof and the palms are reinforced with a sturdy rubber grip to help with grabs and holding things in cold weather. These mittens come with a removable pair of liner gloves for added warmth, but I've just been using them without since they are already so warm.

      Fantastic Gloves

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I absolutely love Dakine as a brand overall and using these this past year have been amazing. We hit up Tahoe this past season and these worked well for me. I love having the inserts as an option, especially in Tahoe since it didn't snow while we were there. The inserts you can still use your phone if you want to. I always wear the inserts with the gloves when strapping in my board as well instead of going without any gloves/inserts. These keep my hands super warm, I'm never cold with them!!

      I Can Feel My Fingers!!!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have long been a proponent of mittens in the winter months....these are my second pair of Dakine mittens, and I have found renewed appreciation for this staple of my snow bound accessories.

After moving across country and working out of doors in the North East this past winter...I found myself in want of mittens after trying an assortment of insulated work gloves.

First off, the Gortex liner is a huge game changer! One of the main contributing factors for this purchase was how the gloves I had been using held the moisture close to my digits at sub-freezing temps. Developing ice amid the thaw and freeze experienced between my snow lined my fingers...I quickly realized that the provision of the water resistant/repellant/proof membrane made my work much more enjoyable.

In comparison to the gloves I had purchased, the warmth provided by these mittens is no contest. I have found the insulation on top of the Gore-Tex membrane to be of such high quality that amid a 1 month cold spell, where we did not see a temp above 20, I did not even feel I needed to where the additional glove liner included. It proved to be another accessory, as I have relegated the glove liner to a winter running assignment.

In essence, this product left me completely satisfied, and supplied me not only a quality pair of mittens, but a very well suited running glove as well.

I love feeling my fingers, when I'm out against the elements!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These mittens are great! I've been rocking gloves for a while and wanted to switch over to mittens so I could easily wear a glove liner underneath (included with these mittens!), and I am very happy with these bad boys. Extremely warm and toasty, your fingers will only ever get chilly on the very coldest of days. The liners fit great and make it really easy to use your phone or mess with some zippers without exposing your skin to the harsh cold, and the wrist leashes ensure you'll never drop a mitten while your up on the lift! Don't hesitate, buy these now and don't look back!

      Favorite Mitten

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been wearing these mittens for a couple years now and just picked up a second pair. They're warm, waterproof, and will never let you down. They come with a thin glove liner for those really cold days but I found those to be really useful by themselves on the uphill while I'm out on my splitboard.

      A Classic!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've always loved Dakine's mittens and these are no different. They fit a bit large, which how I prefer my mittens for in-bounds skiing as it helps for wearing liners (which are included). The elastic cinch around the wrist helps keep snow and wind out and the the band along the upper hand really helps to retain the warmth. When the cold, brisk mornings turn into those beautiful blue bird days, I take the liners off and the mitten is perfect (however it will get too warm for spring skiing). Highly recommended!

      Best Mittens I've ever owned!!

These mittens keep your hands so warm! They have every feature that you would want, and so far they are holding up really well. I've taken these gloves out 4-5 times now and have put them through the ringer. They are still holding strong! No signs of wear yet. I spent hours looking up different gloves, and if you are going to buy mittens buy these! I made the mistake of buying some burton mittens... never doing that again. They wore so fast compared to these. I've always been impressed with dakine products. I had these gloves out in 0 degree weather and they kept my hands perfectly warm. The second they start to show wear I'll update my review, but until then I fully recommend these mittens!

        Love them so far!

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Great gor-tex mitt with a good bang for your buck! I love the high cuff! You can wear it under the sleeve of your jacket or if you are boarding on a warmer day with your sweatshirt you can just through the cuff over your sleeve too. Excited to have these this winter on the cold days!

        Very Warm

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Due to health issues (and my age) I am prone to cold fingers and toes when skiing in Maine. I got these mittens toward the end of the ski season, but had immediate benefits. I no longer had to use hand warmers in my mittens to stay comfortable. The goggle squeegee and nose swipes on the thumbs are just added benefits.

I believe this is a mitten for men

I spoke with customer service and compared the Sequoia Dakine mitten to this Titan mitten. It was suggested that the Titan would be best for high altitude climbing. So I ordered according to their sizing chart and it was huge!! I was in an outdoor store yesterday and found both gloves; the Sequoia is labeled "womens", and the materials on the label match exactly with the Titan. So, I have to return the Titan. I decided to go with the OR Meteor Mitts; they have fleece liner mittens which pull back for exposure of fingers only when you need dexterity, and they are very easy to turn inside out to dry. The Titans were difficult to turn inside out, but I will miss the nose wipe and goggle squeegee.

          Disappointed in back country assistance

          • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I have large hands and find it difficult to get gloves or mittens large enough. I told the snowboard expert at back country that the only glove I had found that fits is a Hestra heli glove size 13 but need to get a mitten for the real cold days could he recommend something because kestra only makes up to a size 12 that I have tried and was too small. He recommend XXL titan gore-tex mitten he was apparently just guessing because of the XXL size listing . I could get my hand inside without the linner but could not move my hand and could not even get my hand in with the supplied linner. It looks like it would be a good mitten if you can get it on. The return policy is good but I would rather not have to pay $6.95 to try on a pair of gloves or mittens.

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This mitt is amazing, especially for the price. Love that it comes with liners, small pockets for important things like ski passes, keys, money, etc. The rubber squeegee comes in clutch on wet springs days. And have I mentioned they are super warm?

          warm and comfortable

These are terrific. The liners are typical and so if they get wet, they could be a problem ( don't wear them without the outer mittens). That said, they didn't get wet at all when the mitten was over them. These are really warm and the zipper pouch for the hand warmers is a thoughtful touch. Also, the lashing/tensioning straps are helpful in keeping out unwanted snow. Nice.

Do these have a wrist leash?

Do these have a wrist leash?

I really wanted a wrist leash as well, but couldn't turn down these gloves b/c of the great deal. For just a few bucks, I bought these as a cheap alternative. Works well enough ....
