Hearty like their namesake, except way, way warmer.
Whether you're chronically cold or just venturing onto the mountain in sub-zero temperatures, the Dakine Sequoia Women's Mittens are about the warmest mitts you can slip your hands into. That's thanks to the whopping 350g high-loft insulation. There's a Gore-Tex waterproof, breathable insert that's guaranteed to keep you dry, and if that's not enough, there's an internal pocket for heat packs to turn these mitts into mini ovens. The tacky Rubbertec palm grips tight to your board, or whatever else you need to grab. Since you'll want to tell all your friends how much fun you're having, the mitts feature removable liners that are touchscreen compatible. That way your fingers won't turn blue when you're texting at a thousand words per minute.

- Q & A
Warm mitts, excellent value!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I finally caved and got mitts after a few especially cold days on the mountain, and my fingers are so much happier for it! A little fumbly with snowboard bindings, but that's going to be the case with any full mitt, and they are nice and warm. The back zipper compartment works great with hand warmers, and I like the long cuffs to go over my jacket sleeves. It's also a great deal that the glove liners are included, and I really appreciate the touch screen compatibility on those. Two minor flaws that I'm willing to overlook at this price point: 1) the glove liners are badly pilling and seams coming loose after only 3 uses (see pic), and 2) I wish it was a more secure buckle that holds the two mitts together when not in use rather than the flimsy open clip. Still, I'm happy with these and they were a bargain compared to other brands!
Bought as a gift
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
These are good mittens, I bought them as a gift, and they do a great job of keeping her hands warm.
Do these have a wrist leash?
Answering my own question but yes they do have a wrist leash. Warm and very comfortable too.
