    Be the cool one

The DAKINE Rail Jersey is designed to keep you cool on sweltering summer rides, and features a casual cut for added style and comfort. The Rail is made with Quick Dry polyester, which is lightweight and is designed to wick moisture away from the skin to enhance evaporation. DAKINE includes mesh panels underneath the arms for advanced breathability and uses Microban antimicrobial technology to keep the jersey smelling fresh and clean. The Rail's sleeves slide easily over elbow pads, and DAKINE includes a microfiber sunglasses wipe at the hem to keep the trail ahead crystal clear.

    Good casual jersey

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This jersey is of the same material and feel of a regular "dry-fit" type workout shirt you would buy at a regular store. You could probably buy such a shirt for less, but then it wouldn't be Dakine and you would look like a newb on the trail. As far as sizing, I'm 5'11" and 155-160lbs and the size small in this Rail jersey fits about the same as a medium slim-fitting casual t-shirt that I normally wear--the difference being that the sleeves on this jersey are a little bit longer. Bottom line: Compared to other mtb jerseys, you can't go wrong for this price. Compared to a athletic shirt you can buy at any other store, it is slightly pricey. But you can't show up on your local trail in Under Armour!

    Great Shirt but Snags Easily

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 155lbs

Bought one shirt ... really liked it so I bought 3 more and after just a few wears, I am noticing that the shirt snags super easily. Admittedly snags don't bother me but having them so soon (within a couple of weeks of wear) is kind of a bummer. I have other similar shirts that are years old and are still holding up.

    Perfect Bike Jersey

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: large
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 160lbs

Bought this for my boyfriend and it is his new favorite bike jersey. It is light weight enough to wear during hot summer days biking and wicks away sweat and moisture. It is simple and well designed, fits well, isn't too tight but not super baggy, and available in a variety of color options.

    Solid Midweight Jersey

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 185lbs

Great weight for most temps where you'd wear a short sleeve jersey. I'm a big fan of the simple design and variety of colors available.

    Great Understated Jersey

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: M
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 154lbs

This is a sharp jersey with solid construction. I'm probably between a S and M, and it fits a little tight in the arms and loose in the body. I really like the surplus color, though, and it breathes well given its sturdy material.

    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 175lbs

This jersey breathes well, and doesn't really retain odor over multiple rides. I soaked it in sweat three days in a row and it's barely starting to smell. It also has a little wipe inside bottom left for getting that moisture off your glasses.

Dakine knows how to do it

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I love this jersey. I would say it is a little bit thicker than other jerseys I have but I still wear this during the summer months and am totally fine. It breathes well and is made out of a super nice/comfortable material. I have this is in several different colors. Dakine makes great products and this is no different. Please let me know if you have questions on any Dakine products.

    Easy like Sunday Morning

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 168lbs

A 7am ride start time that is. Simple, basic, and comfortable. The red is a rusty red that looks very sharp and not a shade you see too often. It's also well made; from the stitching to the durable fabric used. So far it's a great NorCal Fall ride Jersey, just thick enough to keep you warm in evening. May be slightly too thick of a fabric for a warm/hot summer ride.

    Simple

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 160lbs

Midweight mtb jersey that is suitable in most summer riding conditions. The shirt stretches nicely and despite being a thicker-mesh material it ventilates pretty well. On hotter days I'd reach for a thin-mesh jersey like the Dakine Thrillium (also an excellent choice). I like the Rail jersey in my wardrobe because it has a less loud look and the material is very comfortable on your skin. As far as fit goes Dakine products seem to be less boxy than Fox or Troy Lee, I'm a slimmer guy and Dakine just fits better.

This is exactly what it looks. like.
Less stinky than a very similar equivalent from One Industries.
Mine is last years and for some reason it says Dakine on the back by the armpit.

    Love this jersey

I really like this jersey. Its a nice thick material but still well vented. I would say its good for 80 degree days but maybe not 90 degree days. Sleeves are slightly past the elbows for added protection which is nice. I'm 5'8" and often buy a size large for a baggier fit but this large was in fact, "large". If I had to do it again I would maybe buy a medium. Nice, durable jersey though!

      SIMPLE, SOLID JERSEY

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Height: 6'2"
      • Weight: 185lbs

Picked up a couple of these in various colors. They fit great, feel cool, and don't chafe. There's a little lens cleaning cloth stitched into the side hem, but that's about the only extra feature. Fine by me. I find they run true to size and fit like a tee shirt, not baggy like a freeride jersey, but not tight like a road jersey. For some reason the black seems to fit slightly smaller than the red, but it might just be me. If you want to fit pads underneath or you like some extra room, size up, but beware the neck might fit a bit wide.

      Low Key

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Small
      • Height: 5'9"
      • Weight: 145lbs

This is great jersey if you prefer to not look like a bag of skittles on the trail. It breathes well and fits great.

      Trail riding staple.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Small
      • Height: 5'8"
      • Weight: 140lbs

This an exceptional example of less being more, in terms of comfort and overall functionality. Its simple polyester fabric dries quickly and features an anti-stink treatment that's kept me from offending my riding buddies thus far (regular poly layers usually get really funky, especially in summer). Plus, its relaxed fit feels great without being overly baggy like freeride clothes or skin-tight like XC cycling jerseys.

      Simple and Functional

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium
      • Height: 5'8"
      • Weight: 165lbs

Great jersey without loud logos and colors. Breathes great and dries quickly too. Fit is true to size in length, width, and sleeves - not baggy or tight. There's also a small microfiber cloth stitched into the inside seam in case you need to wipe off your glasses.

      Clean Style

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Small
      • Height: 5'8"
      • Weight: 160lbs

If you're not a fan of super loud colors and jerseys that look like billboards, give the rail jersey a shot. It's lightweight, breathes well and looks great. The fit is true to size, so definitely consult the size chart before purchasing.
