Perfect Backpack for a day hike

I've used it several times
True to size
Size Bought
6` 0"

Ive used this 3 or 4 times and its perfect size for a day hike. You can fit plenty of water and snacks in the pack. I have yet to use it in the winter time so I cant comment on how well it holds ski's or a snowboard during a winter hike. I did strap my board to it and put it on and it fit well around the house.

Great for day adventures

This pack is pretty no-nonsense, which makes it perfect for quick bootpacks into the sidecountry and just skiing inbounds when you want to carry a lunch or shed a layer. What it lacks in bells and whistles it makes up for in materials and construction. This pack has also become my mountain biking pack and go-to for day hikes. I use it year round and it’s in excellent shape. My goggles don’t fit in the goggle pocket, but I do keep my spare lens or sunglasses in there depending on what I’m up to.

Sweet Starter Pack

I've used it several times

The size of this pack is perfect for shorter tours. enough space for all of my avy gear plus an extra layer and food and water. It's very well constructed and durable.

Good pack

Overall good material and construction. Goggle pocket only fits very small goggles.

Perfect size for day touring

I purchased this pack to replace a larger pack, which I was always filling with stuff I don’t end up needing. This one is great.

Everything you need for shorter tours

I've used it several times

This is a great pack for shorter tours and slackcountry adventures. It'll hold all of your avy gear, a layer or two and food / water. I like the diagonal ski carry for bootpacks. The pack is well made, which Dakine stands by with a lifetime warranty.

Great affordable starter pack

I've used it several times

If you're looking for a pack to get you into the backcountry, but already spent all your funds on your touring setup, check out the Dakine Heli Pro 20L! It has all the essentials -- room for your avy gear, layers, and snacks. I gave 3 stars because I think the pack would be perfect if it was offered in a women-specific fit AND had at least one hip or shoulder strap pocket for easy access to phone, sunglasses, or slopemeter.

They do have this pack in a women-specific fit.

Awesome Basic Pack

I've put it through the wringer

This is my go to pack for short tours and sidecountry bootpacks. I have the model from a few year back and it's still in great shape. Big enough to fit all your avy gear, water and snacks, plus any extra gloves or baselayers. Not quite big enough for your jacket or a puffy so I hook that on the outside of it. The diagonal ski carry is easy to use and very sturdy. If you're looking for a good pack that won't break the bank get this one!

What size laptop does this pack fit?
