    Just the essentials.

While there's a time and place for big bulky packs, it's nice to have something small to carry all of the essentials without throwing your balance off while you ride. The Dakine Heli 12L Backpack is the perfect low-profile pack for resort riding, cat skiing, and heli trips.

Its streamlined design features an external shovel sleeve, and its main compartment is fitted with dividers for both a probe and shovel handle. An insulated sleeve will carry a hydration bladder while saving enough space for an extra layer and beanie. A fleece-lined goggle pocket keeps an extra pair of lenses on deck for when the light changes on you. And when it's time to hoof it back up the mountain, the Heli 12L will carry skis diagonally and a snowboard vertically so your hands can stay free for more important activities.

    • Snowboarding and skiing pack for the resort, backcountry, or heli
    • Laptop sleeve makes the pack ready to transition to work or school
    • Hydration-compatible sleeve ready for on-the-go sipping
    • Vertical board and diagonal ski-carry hauls your gear to the drop
    • Fleece-lined goggle pocket lets you stash an extra pair
    • External shovel carry lets you keep your tools close at hand
    • Sternum-strap whistle lets you sound off in case of emergency
    • Item #DAK011B

    Great resort bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Skiing with kids, I need a bag for extra gear, snacks, GoPro equipment etc. This bag is perfect, it has a nice low profile, can sit high on my back for riding the lift, and plenty of space for my needs. I have a small camelbak as well, but prefer this one, it just fits better.

    Best resort pack out there.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

When I'm riding a bigger resort and I want to bring some extra gear so I don't have to go find my car in the middle of the day, I grab the Heli 12L. It fits all the essentials you might need - hydration bladder, extra lenses/goggles, an extra layer, any avy equipment you may need, and more. It's so slim and small that it doesn't throw you off when you're riding and almost feels like you're not riding with a pack at all. I've also used this on trips around the city during travel or as my "personal item" on flights and it's great. Get one, you won't regret it!

    Versatile multipurpose bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I like this pack because it can carry everything I need for snowboarding, but it also has a laptop sleeve so it works great for school too. I really love how it looks too.

    Skiing go bag.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This bag is a perfect day pack. I keep everything I need to ski in the bag, except boots (My pants fit in the shovel pocket). All I need to do is grab the bag and go. Ski’s are easy to attach to the bag, polls fit as well. I really like having everything I need in one spot. Once on the slopes I keep 1 liter of water, snacks and an extra layer with plenty of extra room if needed. The bag sits high on your back so you don’t feel like your being pushed off the lift. The goggle pocket works well and I can fit a second set of lenses so I can switch them out on the fly going from day to night.

What is the largest size hydration bladder this 12L pack can hold? And is there somewhere to attach it in the hydration pocket to hold up the bladder?
