- Q & A
Everything you need & nothing you don't
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Had my Drafter for about 3 seasons now and still looks like new! This pack is the perfect size for everyday trail riding & day hiking.
Typical contents include:
Extra tube/s, pump, first aid, tire levers, plenty of trail treats, head lamp, wind/rain jacket, multi tool, monocular (just in case of awesome wildlife sighting) and still room to spare for sure. 3L bladder is great for the longer rides and the quick disconnect on the hose makes it really easy to remove for fill and drying.
Wasn't too sure if the removable waist belt was going to be useful at first, but use this feature often when not using the pack on the trail. When traveling it is nice not to have the waist belt hanging around and to just get it out of the way.
I have previously been using the Nomad pack by Dakine but felt it was a touch too big for the day to day rides, this pack is certainly a happy medium. Enjoy the ride!
Ready to rip
Used this bad boy a couple of times now. I am sold on the lumbar positioned hydration design, makes for a much more stable center of gravity. Plenty of organization and room for tools, lunch, layers, etc. My favorite part though is the mesh back panel and the perforated hip and shoulders straps - all of which keep the air flowing and those delightful sweaty spots to a minimum.
I just got this for my dad for his birthday and he loves it! The mesh back makes it able to breathe and not overheat the rider. And It fits everything he could need for a ride!
