- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This bag has very nice construction, there are a few features I wish that this pack had, such as a laptop sleeve. Other than that, this pack is super cool and very unique.
Here's an idea of where specific items are intended to be placed.
One pack to rule them all

I've always been a huge fan of Dakine- still use their Heli Pro as a ski pack, but needed a different style for the books. I came across the Caravan, and after putting it through about a month and a half of law school, I can truly say this pack is amazing.
First off, the size is really nice- you can pack a lot in there, but it's not bulky and awkward to carry. I can carry 3 big textbooks, notebooks, and my computer no problem. The laptop sleeve is really nice- easy to slip the computer in there and not worry about it. The only access is from the side zip (you can't insert it from the top) but the side zip access makes it super easy to get into the bag.
The overall material is pretty sweet too- I have taken it in light showers and it does shed some of the water, haven't had anything soak through yet. The shoulder straps are super comfy- I was a little concerned that there wasn't a waist belt, but the shoulder straps are so cush I haven't really found myself in a position where I really needed a waist belt in addition. Love the fleece lined lid pocket and front pocket too!
All in all, Dakine quality, great design, definitely would recommend!
