Keep those little hands high and dry.

Give your little shredder the DAKINE Toddlers’ before you head out to build an army of snowmen this winter. DAKINE gave this glove a convenient side zipper so you can get those tiny hands in and out without a struggle, while the Weathershield fabric keeps the moisture out. The full-length gauntlet prevents snow from sneaking in, and the Thermoloft Insulation dials in all-day warmth.

Kinda Sloppy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Toddler Medium
  • Weight: 30lbs

I got these for my two-year-old. I got the Toddler size Medium. He's almost 3 now, and they are still very sloppy. It's hard to get his thumb seated in, and the wrist strap doesn't get tight enough. They fall off often. Meh. I will be trying out some Patagonia ones next.

They work.

I got these for my 3 year old who always want to go play in the snow. Not sure if it is a mitten or her. But her hand get cold not long after going out side. The only draw back I have notices is they do not close tight around the wrist.

I heart Dakine

These gloves are sweeet. Easy to put on the little guys hands and he can't just fling them off whenever he pleases. And they keep him super warm. (No tears means he's happy right) we are all happy campers.

    Warm and Cute

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

My grandson loves these mittens because they're cute. My daughter (his mother) loves them because they're sufficiently warm for Minnesota's severe weather, and the extra wrist strap makes it easier to keep them on him. They also fit nicely. We shopped for a long time to find just the right mittens, and are glad we finally settled on these.

    Cute and cozy

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small

These slip-on mittens fit my godson pretty well, but turns out his chubby little hands are slightly bigger than the sizing chart led us to believe... so they're a little snug. But they keep his hands warm and adorable so they do the job.

    Age: 1 year
    Size: Small

    Size chart is wrong

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Just a note for anyone thinking of purchasing, the size chart posted for this product is incorrect. I looked at these mittens in a local sporting goods store, and the sizing is clearly marked: S = 1-2 yrs, M = 2-3 yrs, L = 3-4 yrs. The M looked just perfect for my 2 yr old, with room to grow. Hope I can get her to wear them!

    Cute and dry

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these for my five year old son in size L and they fit great. We got the Yeti design (so cute!) and he loves them. To confirm what the other reviewers have said, it is true that there is no zipper but I haven't found this to be a problem. The gauntlet opens wide enough to slip on and off easily enough.

My little guy adores playing in the snow and will stay out for hours at a time. These mittens have always kept his hands dry. They haven't failed us yet!

    Great fit, no zipper

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These mittens fit my 3 yr old great. There is no zipper as listed in the description, this would have been a great feature to avoid some of the toddler wrangling that goes on without it. Still keeps his hands nice and toasty though.

    No Zipper!

I thought these mittens were going to be great- the description said that they had a zipper on the side for easy on/off which is KEY to ensure right placement of little hands and thumbs in the right spots of the mittens- but these mittens do NOT have zippers! The picture of the mittens made it seems like the zipper was protected by the flap of fabric- which would have been great (added weather protection), but, instead, it just allows for a gusset that opens the gauntlet of the mitten.

Cute designs, solid insulation, and decent sizing- just disappointed about being mislead about the zippers... have to send them back. :(

      Warm Hands...

Style: Got two pair in white deco for my 4 and 2 year old. They are darling.

Sizing: The size S was WAY too S for the 2 yr old and the size L was slightly to L for the 4 year old. Oh well... will be usable for next season as well right?

Quality: The plastic clips that clip the gloves together broken on one pair when I was opening them, the other broke the first day we used them. No big deal (until we lose one when they get separated). Otherwise, solid.

Warmth: This was numero uno for us and these do not disappoint. No complaints about cold fingers after hours in the snow. They have a soft and heavenly fleece lining. Smiles...

        Review Title

We don't have any snow yet so I can't fully advise... but buy 'em for the zipper alone! Trying to shove teeny tiny hands, time after time, into mini mittens can be frustrating for all involved. We've practiced with these and so far I'm happy with them. For now, well worth the cost & we'll let you know how they are when the snow flies! Cheers :)
The loop things are a bit weird and won't stay on with the tiny velco dot in rough and tumble snow play but we may figure something else out... perhaps the old-fashioned 'string' through the arms might still be the trick.

Description says there is a zipper but...

Description says there is a zipper but reviews say there isn't. So which one is it? Also, sizing chart shows only S and L but M is available. It's still a toddler M, right?
