    Built for the best days.

When you wake up with over a foot of snow outside your window, you know conditions are going to prime on the mountain, so suit up in the Dakine Women's Beretta Jacket and know you'll stay comfortably dry from first to last chair. Made with a Gore-Tex 3L shell, the Beretta delivers serious waterproof, breathable protection for those days the snow just won't stop. And for an added touch of warmth, Dakine added a soft flannel lining through the body and sleeves. But if you do start to overheat, just open up the two large chest vents to let a little cool air come through. The three-way adjustable hood can be dialed in to deliver a snug and secure fit when you're braving another long, cold chairlift ride, and the zip-out powder skirt can be removed when you're riding the park on a slushy spring day.

    • Three-layer Gore-Tex shell is waterproof and breathable

    Close but a Miss

5-4 140 ordered Large This jacket is a weird fit. Fit my shoulders but arms were super long and way too much jacket around the middle. I could almost double it. Large was too long Ordered a medium. Still fit shoulders, fit arms better, but much smaller in the middle I could not fit an insulator underneath without the sausage effect. Zipper is tiny and hard to zipper. Kept getting stuck. Also no interior phone pocket. Returned both.

      Great Jacket

I got this jacket to go with the Beretta bibs, and so far, the setup has been great. This jacket is solid- the 3L gore keeps you dry all day, and safe from the winds. It has a good cut to it as well- it is more feminine, not super baggy, but also not skin tight. The vents are really nice- while they're not directly under your arms, they're still great at getting airflow in, and honestly, it's easier to tell if they're open or closed... The internal mesh pockets are great too for stashing stuff temporarily. if I were to be picky, there are a couple of updates I'd like to see- first, the zippers can be a little annoying, they do really like to get hung up on the flap underneath, it would be nice if they were just a little more smooth. Second, the flaps on the hand pockets are annoying if you're cruising at speeds as they flap around. And last, it would be really nice if there was an internal zip pocket. As it is, there isn't really a good place for your phone- I store mine in the bibs chest pocket so it doesn't freeze.
As far as sizing, I feel like the jacket itself runs pretty true to size. I sized up intentionally to get a little extra room- I'm 5'2, 120lb, and I have the Medium. On its face, it fits fairly similar to my old Burton AK Medium jacket. However, I find the powder skirt to run rather tight. Even on the "loose" setting, it's small. While it certainly fits, I find that the tightness causes it to ride up a little more, so you're having to pull it down.
All in all, while there are a couple of minor things that I would improve if I had the chance, I still really love the Beretta line and would definitely recommend!

      Looks and performs great!

I have used this jacket both in resorts and backcountry skiing in all sorts of temps and conditions. It has consistently kept me warm and dry in the mountains. There's plenty of room for layering underneath and plenty of pockets for snacks! Looks awesome with the beretta bibs.

I am not going to lie, I was extremely attracted to this jacket due to this deep rose color. I hate wearing insulated jackets so this shell is perfect for layering up or down and looks great. Finally, a cute technical shell! But it also has served me well as such a great everyday jacket in the Backcountry too. The only thing I wish I could change about this jacket though is the zippers - they have a kind of annoying pull tab and get caught easily. I have loved this jacket though! I got a size small and it fits a puffy underneath just fine and is long enough.

      Core Backcountry /Sidecountry Jacket

I'm stoked on this shell from Dakine! It's been super reliable in the backcountry, keeping me completely dry and protected from the elements. I usually wear a medium, but was wondering if I needed to size up to layer with a puffy. I am happy to report that the medium fits perfectly for this combination! It also has pockets inside, large enough where I can store my skins for when I tour with my split board. The chest vents are easy to open and help dump heat quickly. I highly recommend this piece as it will keep you totally protected from the most harsh elements and has all the best features you'll need!

      Nice colors, weird pockets

I liked the coloring of this jacket, which is what made me hit the buy button. I was between a size XS and S, but I decided to go with the Small because you can put a micro puffy jacket underneath for insulation. This jacket has no insulation, so it needs to be paired with some other layers on cold days.

Honestly, the pockets on this jacket are so weird. There are no zippered inside or chest pockets for your phone, so you're stuck putting your phone in one of the hand pockets at the waist. On cold days, my phone freezes, so that's not ideal. On the waist pockets, there are these weird flaps that stick out when you're skiing with some speed (I have the 2017-2018 version of this jacket, doesn't look like anything changed except colors).

      Stellar Jacket

I am very impressed with this jacket and how it holds up in wet snow conditions. My previous ski jacket just wasn't cutting it so I decided to go for this one. The 3 layer gore tex keeps me nice and dry on wet powder days. The fit is more slim than a typically baggy ski jacket, but is not tight. I can wear a a down jacket underneath and still have plenty of mobility. The vents are on the chest which makes them easy to open yourself. I do wish that there was a more convenient pocket to keep my phone, like an interior chest pocket. The internal pocket for goggles and such does not zip so I can't trust putting my valuables there. I purchased the black/buckskin color, I will say that the color is not as yellow as pictured, it's more of a tan color. I highly recommend this jacket, it keeps me dry on the worst of days. I am very happy with this purchase!
