    Lightweight doesn't mean sissy

For the minimalist who still wants padding and protection, Dakine created the Women's Aura Glove. With breathable fabrics and light padding, they ensure a secure grip while remaining lightweight.

The back of the hand was sewn from mesh polyester which allows the hands to breathe to prevent sweaty palms. Silicone mesh is used on the palms for a solid interface with the bars. They are padded with three, 2mm pads across the palms. An adjustable hook and loop closure secures the gloves. The thumbs feature a microfleece wipe and just in case you get a phone call from your boss, the Aura's thumbs are touchscreen compatible.

The Dakine Aura Gloves - Women's are available in sizes X-Small through X-Large in the colors Annabelle and Black.

    Good for Ten Rides

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased these gloves after the biking season started, and they lasted about ten rides. They are completely falling apart where the material meets the pads. They are no longer effective.

My favorite gloves that fall apart

The seams around the fingers and palms tear if you look at them too hard. This is something I've just accepted as I think I'm on my 5th pair of these gloves. They are so comfortable though; they breath well, fit well, and the minimal padding in the palms is just right. I am reluctant to pay full price for these knowing they will fall apart but as long as they are on sale, I'll keep buying them.

DAKINE AURA GLOVES - GREAT FIT!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: XS
      • Height: 5'2"

I have very small hands and have a hard time finding gloves. The XS fits me perfectly! I usually get 5.5 sized leather gloves as a reference.

      Good for a Beginner

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Height: 5'4"
      • Weight: 125lbs

I only started riding recently and these are serving me just fine! Although I was worried about the reviews that said they didn't last very long, I knew I wouldn't be riding as hard as other might during my first season. So far, after a handful of mellow rides, the gloves are in great condition. They fit really well (a little extra space at the tops of the fingers); and have prevented any blisters on my hands! Overall, I'm very happy with this glove and would recommend it for anyone who is trying out mountain biking for the first time.

      cheep and thin

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

Wow, $12 more like $2. These gloves are paper thin. They wouldn't protect you from a mosquito bite! They are like tissue paper thin, cheep crap, that will fall apart after a couple rides.
I believe any positive review must of been payed for. Not worth the money!

      Good for one season

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: medium

I rode over 80 times last season and holes started to form around the 30th ride. They are still useable- but not very durable.

      Good for one season

      Gets the job done

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I've used these gloves on a handful of rides early this season and they've kept my hands safe from scratches and raw palms. Construction seems to be solid and the padding doesn't weigh them down. Great gloves, stylish too! I have pretty average size girl hands and the medium fit well with just a little extra finger room.

      Garbage

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I've had these gloves for a month and maybe used them during 10 rides. I'm really not that hard on my equipment considering I didn't need to replace my last pair of mountain bike gloves for over two years. These gloves have begun to pull at the seams between the "breathable" fabric and pads in multiple places to form holes. I'm really disappointed since I loved the lightness of these gloves for summer riding. Save your money and purchase a different set of gloves.

      Garbage

Cool in the heat, warm in the cool.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these gloves as an alternative and an "in-between" glove. You know, when it's too warm for a heavier glove, and too cold for fingerless gloves.
They are superb for this purpose. As a bonus, they also look quite nice. Since they are very light weight with mesh panels, I can wear them in the heat comfortably. And, since I can be a wimp due to reynaud's they keep my fingertips toasty in slightly cool rides. The added bonus is that they match my rad Team Sticky Fingers kits!

      Good Snug gloves

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

These gloves fit snuggly, (I got a small since I have small hands..) and I do use them in the winter as a baselayer glove since they fit inside my mittens and looser gloves. They also work well with using cell phones when you don't want to take them off. I am pleased!
