The most obvious plus for the 8 Track short is the burly polyester canvas fabric. It can stand up to season after season of serious DH abuse, with reinforced stitching through key areas, so you won't be explaining any wardrobe malfunctions to angry parents, frightened children, or other authorities after your next ride. The rear stretch panel and adjustable waist tabs give you the fit and freedom you need, and special patterning at the knees is designed to fit over your pads. Dakine finished it off with a DWR coating to repel water, so drizzles and mists won't leave you soggy.

The 8 Track also has belt loops for added security, and zippered inseam vents to let you cool down when you're shredding on hot days. An internal elastic loop holds your lift pass, a zippered pocket at the leg keeps your key gear, like a multi-tool or energy gel, right where you can get it.
