    I’m not a beta tester

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought both Cycliq lights after a rash of anti-cyclist threats in my area. I really wish this was a good product and think I gave my due diligence. However it was only the second ride when I started having issues with the unit just shutting off randomly. I tried to troubleshoot and determined that it was a SD card reading issue. So I tried other SD cards (as recommended by Cycliq). But it still would do the same. I tried a firmware update but that wouldn’t take after a couple dozen tries and I reached out to Cycliq for help. Basically they wanted me to video myself doing all the steps and try yet other cards... I felt like I was beta testing the product instead of troubleshooting. And here is the real kicker: So this is a tail light, right? For safety? Then WHY did they think it was a good idea for the whole unit to turn off if the SD card isn’t reading? I found myself stopping every ten minutes to make sure it was still on so I wouldn’t get hit. After a week of that I sent it back to Competitivecyclist, who accepted it for store credit.

Wow, that seals it for me. You are the customer and they treat you like ....$hit. Video tape doing all the steps. Now where am I going to find a back camera for my bike ? It certainly won't be from these dingleberries.
